He joined IHS in 2005 to work with the olefins, polyolefins, and chlor-alkali/vinyls market advisory teams in London. Between 2010 and 2013, he spearheaded the EMEA and India sections of the Global Acetyls report, led the preparation of the World Acetyls Analysis, and spoke at the World Methanol Conference in Madrid. In his current role, he works on highly varied consulting assignments and manages small to medium-sized projects. He has led the development of a number of proprietary tools used by the global consulting team for financial modelling, cost competitiveness modelling and global cost curve analysis. He has implemented these tools for projects in Africa, Middle East and CIS that focused on the strategic buildup of new petrochemical facilities. Throughout his career, Mr. Taylor has been involved in assignments covering most commodity petrochemicals, including syngas chemicals, olefins, polyolefins, C4's, rubbers, chlor-alkali and aromatics. He has also assisted with studies on more specialized products, such as MMA/PMMA, polyisoprene, and polyvinyl alcohol. He has proven his versatility by working on a broad range of market reviews, competitiveness studies, feasibility studies, lender advisories, and petrochemical masterplans. Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, UK, with a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Computation. He has led the development of a number of proprietary tools used by the global consulting team for financial modeling, cost competitiveness modeling and global cost curve analysis. He has been able to put these tools into action for a range of projects for Africa, Middle East and CIS clients focusing on the strategic buildup of new petrochemical facilities across these regions. He has experience working overseas following a short spell at the company's Dubai office, contributing to local Middle East projects. Rob graduated from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology with a BSc Hons in Computation.
