Mike has been with the Comparative Industry Service for the last seven years, working hand-in-hand with a wide-array of international clients to track their primary markets and assess competitive positioning to make smarter, more informed capital allocation decisions.
He is a noted public speaker, providing corporate executives with multidimensional outlooks on sector performance across countries. Mike also runs the team’s Sector Risk Rating module, used by banks, insurers, and trade credit to forecast pending credit events. Prior to joining IHS Markit, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory (PwC) where he consulted clients regarding effective ways to enhance their risk management procedures. Mr. Ryan received a BBA in Finance from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia, US, and earned a MSc in Banking and International Finance with Distinction from the University of London, Cass Business School, UK. He is a Japanese Kakehashi scholar and serves as Vice President of the National Economists Club in Washington, D.C..
