Nathalie Wlodarczyk is Vice President Consulting and leads the Economics and Country Risk consulting practice for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. Her team is responsible for delivering forward-looking country, industry and economic assessments for government and private sector clients to support strategic planning and business growth. She has over 15 years experience working on Country Risk assessments and forecasts in the private and non-governmental sectors. Prior to taking up this position, Nathalie led the Global Risk Consulting practice for Economics and Country Risk, focused on assisting clients with new market entry and competitive growth, particularly in emerging markets. Nathalie came to the IHS consulting team through the acquisition of Exclusive Analysis in 2012, where she headed the Consulting team as a Director and member of the Management Board. She has led projects across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.
Nathalie has particular expertise in methodology for understanding trends in regulatory risk and socio-political dynamics, as well as mapping stakeholder groups at a sub-sovereign level in support of stakeholder strategy by investors. She also leads on intelligence systems design work, combining location-specific analysis with structured intelligence collection and monitoring against indicators of business risk.
Prior to this Nathalie worked in the non-governmental sector on local capacity building, and in academia with government and civil society on security issues. She has taught contemporary security issues at both King’s College London and the School of Oriental and African Studies. Nathalie has a PhD in War Studies from Kings College London, and a BSc and MSc from the London School of Economics in International Relations.
