  • Australia - 35 block outlines corrected as part of a complete review of Ashmore and Cartier
  • Mongolia - 33 contracts and applications updated as part of a complete review
  • China - 326 contracts updated and 31 entered in the Qaidam, Tula-Hami, Santanghu, South China Sea, Sichuan and Yunnan-Guizhou basins. Updated 198 contracts and blocks with new calculated areas, basins and political provinces in Zhangwu and Songliao, Sichuan Basin, Yunnan-Guizhou basins
  • Pakistan - seismic and drilling commitments updated in 30 OGDCL contracts. Official reported area entered in 294 contracts and blocks. 76 contracts were had their scheduled renewal/expiry date reviewed and updated
  • Botswana - 9 new contracts/applications and 28 associated blocks entered as part of a complete review
  • Colombia - 12 contracts updated and 3 new contracts entered with new outline and area as part of a complete review of Colombia contracts
  • Iran - outlines updated for 15 blocks in the South Pars contract
  • Portugal - 4 contracts updated with historical stages and commitments
  • Kyrgystan - complete review of all contracts including updates to block outlines and rightholding situation and other contractual information
  • South East Asia - 27 blocks had their outline refined, 130 had their total area re-calculated and updated and 20 contracts had their scheduled renewal/expiry date reviewed and updated

Africa


  • Angola - Production block names were updated in 25 licenses to correspond with field names
  • Egypt - Entered 6 new contracts, awarded as result of the EGPC International 2016 Bid Round, within 4 days of the official announcement
  • Libya - 45 contracts and blocks had their political province attribute corrected
  • Saharan Africa - 882 valid blocks (244 open areas and 638 contract blocks) in 18 countries had their total and split areas recalculated and updated. At the same time the blocks basins and political provinces were also re-calculated and updated if needed
  • Chad, Egypt, South Sudan, Sudan - 14 blocks had their outline updated following an update of the country boundaries

  • Denmark – Entered 16 new contracts, preliminary awarded as result of the 7th Licensing Round, one day after the official announcement
  • Germany – Reviewed 113 contracts and updated 49 as part of a complete review of the contractual situation of Nordrhein-Westfalen
  • Germany – 28 contract corrected, 120 enclaves/blocks deleted, 47 blocks updated to follow German Ministry standards that overlap exploration and production blocks
  • Greenland – A complete review of all valid contracts resulted in the update of 5 licenses with more precise terms
  • Hungary – A complete review of 268 production and 14 exploration contracts resulted in the update of 9 blocks for the 2016 Hungarian bidding round and the input of 15 open areas
  • France – 32 stages in 16 contracts were re-entered correcting block shape and area
  • Ireland – Entered 21 new contracts awarded as result of the 2015 Atlantic Margin, within 5 days of the official announcement
  • Norway – Entered 56 new contracts, preliminary awarded as result of APA 2015 within 3 days of the official announcement
  • Norway – Entered 10 new contracts, preliminary awarded as result of 23rd Licensing Round, the day after the official announcement
  • Poland – 49 blocks had their outline reviewed and corrected using polish datum PULKOVO 1942(58) or ETRS89
  • Portugal – 19 contract and applications reviewed and updated for outline, area, reported area and bathymetry

  • Jordan – 16 new oil shale open blocks entered
  • Middle East – Updated the outlines of 575 historical blocks to fit with cultural lines such as borders and coastlines
  • Middle East – 60 blocks outline were updated to correct overlaps or gaps between blocks in Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon and Oman
  • Saudi Arabia and Yemen – 33 contract and 152 open blocks had their basin and political provinces re-calculated and corrected

  • Alaska, US – Entered 3,246 new bidding blocks two day after the official announcement of the Sale BS2016W, Sale FH2016, Sale NS2016W and NPRA Sale 2016. A total of 458 new contracts were entered as result of these lease sales
  • Alaska, US – Updated rental commitments in 57 leases for the 1999 NE NPRA Lease Sale, 163 leases for the Lease Sale 86 and 32 leases for the Lease Sale 85A
  • Alaska, US – 543 block names updated for consistency in historical leases in the Cook Inlet of the Alaska
