He joined IHS in November 2014, when IHS acquired PacWest Consulting Partners—a Houston-based provider of market intelligence and strategic analysis to the upstream unconventional oil and gas industry. A former managing partner of PacWest, Mr. Dayal has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas, electricity, industrials, resources and public sector spaces. His project management experience includes strategy development and implementation, procurement and supply chain management, financial performance improvement, organizational restructuring and process improvement.
Mr. Dayal started PacWest in 2006. He expanded the firm's consulting practice to include market-leading corporate growth and market entry strategies for oilfield services, equipment and materials players. With the launch of PacWest's market intelligence practice in 2011, Mr. Dayal spearheaded the rapid growth of the firm's capabilities, intellectual capital, staff and client base. He advanced the firm's market intelligence products, working closely with clients to ensure they received the necessary analysis and insight to support executive strategy development and decision-making needs.
Prior to starting PacWest, Mr. Dayal was a management consultant with the chemicals and petroleum practice of Charles River Associates and the strategy and organization practice of Arthur D. Little. Earlier in his career, he served as a global business development manager at CMS Energy. Mr. Dayal holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Operations Research Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, US.
