Mr. Jeremy Binnie has been the Middle East/Africa Editor for Defense Weekly since the beginning of 2012.
Before his current position, he was the editor of IHS Terrorism & Security Monitor and an associate editor of IHS Jane’s Intelligence Review. He has more than 14 years of experience working for IHS and Jane’s Information Group. He is a leading expert on Middle Eastern and North African defense and security issues, including Al-Qaeda and other transnational jihadist groups. He an author of ‘”Infernal machines: improvised explosive devices,” published in eight languages in Small Arms Survey 2013 (Cambridge University Press). Mr. Binnie graduated from the University of Exeter, Exeter, England, U.K., with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics.
