Mr. Alabin studied at the MGIMO-University (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) – International Economic Relationship from 1991-1996. He has been working at Trade House Bashkhim since 2014 with previous positions at Cargill Inc., Avantum and ETK Trading.
Chaoran Ding, President of China Soda Industry Association (CSIA), has been involved in soda ash industry for 30 years. In 2009-2016, he was Vice General Manager with Jiangsu Jingshen Salt & Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Prior to that, he worked for Lianyungang Soda Ash Plant more than 23 years.
Chris Holmes has extensive international experience in LNG, natural gas and natural gas liquids. He previously was Vice President with Purvin & Gertz, Inc., which he joined in 1999. In 2011 Purvin & Gertz Inc. was acquired by IHS Markit. Previously, he was a senior consultant with Gaffney, Cline & Associates in London and Singapore. He also worked with Amoco, initially as a Refinery Process Engineer and later as a Product Trader.
In 2013, Ryan joined IHS Markit working in the Business Advisory Services team in the London office, working on single client assignments in a wide variety of petrochemicals, with a special focus on fertilizer chemicals.
Projects range from primary research in specialty chemicals, to market and price analysis in commodity chemicals, or cost competitiveness and cash cost analysis.
Prior to IHS, Ryan worked on sulphur and sulphuric acid markets, and wide exposure to both the metal leaching sector and the phosphate fertilizer sector. Ryan was the Editor of sulphur and sulphuric acid quarterly market reports and developed a market and price forecast model for sulphur and sulphuric acid, working closely with clients in the fertilizer, mining and crude production sector.
Veronique Toscan-Moore is the Sales & Marketing Director at Novacap Group – in charge of the Mineral Specialties Division Worldwide (Soda Ash, Bicarbonate, Sulfate and Silicate).
She has 15 years of experience in International Business in B2B industries such as Chemicals and Glass/Packaging and she participated in 3 successive LBO with private equity funds during her career.
She has a degree in Finance and in International Marketing, she has successively been Auditor, Product Line Manager and Sales Director.
Her know how is mainly international business development, key account, distribution and product range management.
Born in France, she studied and worked in the UK, she currently lives in France.
Mr. Ren has extensive experience in designing soda ash plants, both Solvay ammonia process and Hou process. He joined in Dalian Dahua Engineering Design Co., Ltd as general manager in 2004. Before that, he had worked for Dahua Group 18 years, responsible for soda ash production and design.
Since January 2009, Fabrice is Environment, Health and Safety Director at the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE).
FEVE is the Federation of European manufacturers of glass containers and machine-made glass tableware. Its members produce over 20 million tons of glass per year. It is an international not-for-profit association, which currently numbers over 60 company members and 22 corporate groups across the European Union, Switzerland and Turkey.
Fabrice also chairs the Environment Committee of Glass Alliance Europe, the European Alliance of Glass Industries which regroup all the glass industries to work on common issues. It is composed of 19 national glass associations and of the main sectors of the glass industries: container glass, flat glass, special glass, domestic glass and continuous filament glass fibers.
He has 16 years of experience in environmental sciences, support to industry, European Affairs and lobbying. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the ULB, and is a qualified Civil Engineer. He also holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Training in Management from Mercer University in the USA.
Jacek Rożek is the Sales and Marketing Director of Węglohut, where he has been working for the last eleven years.
He graduated from the School of Management at Silesian University in Katowice (Poland). During his professional life he has worked for several companies in positions related to sales, marketing and logistics.
He has completed Executive Doctor of Business Administration (EDBA) program at Institute of Economics of Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, and has also participated in several training projects connected with business education, international banking law, trading, inter-culture communication, transport and logistics.
To date, he has presented on coke and logistics solutions at international conferences in Europe, the US, Middle East, Singapore and Hong Kong.
He was the first person in Poland to initiate carrying coke in bulk in containers on a mass scale.
Andrew was previously Director in IHS Chemical’s single client consultancy business with a geographic focus on the Americas and Asia. In this role he carried out strategy, feasibility, technology selection, and market studies for clients in the inorganic (including soda ash) and petrochemical industries. Before becoming a consultant in 1992, Andrew was with Nalco Chemical and the ICI Group. For the latter, he was General Manager of the business which became Penrice Soda Holdings Limited, Osborne, South Australia, a recently closed manufacturer of soda ash and sodium bicarbonate (Solvay process).
Shohab Rais currently heads sales and marketing for chemicals at Tata Chemicals for their Indian and African operations. In the past, he has led marketing, CRM and key account sales. He is responsible for introducing Bi Carb brands in India. His industry experience of over 30 years includes work in Appliances industry with Godrej and in operations with Tata Power. He developed a 365 days call center for Chemicals business and pioneered the bulk movement of soda ash in India. He was a key member in the development of franchisee model, branding of customer service and the first call center for appliances in India. He has been responsible for leadership relationships at global level for some of the most important global customers.
He is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a post graduate qualification in Marketing Management from NMIMS, Mumbai. He attended an advanced management program at the University of Maryland, US and the Michigan University program at Tata Management Training Centre.
Sinan Solaklar graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Istanbul University.
He began his career as a Financial Auditor for Koc Holding from 1980-1983. He then worked as a Sales and Marketing Director for Soda Sanayi AS/ Şise Cam from 1983 to 2009.
He has been Vice President,Sales,Marketing and Logistics at Eti Soda since 2009. Mr. Solaklar can speak 5 languages: Turkish,English,French,Persian,Azarbaidjani.
