Richard Jackson specialises in global terrorism and crisis management/response. Richard was a civil servant in the MOD and Cabinet Office focusing on national security issues, resilience planning and Northern Ireland security. He led the MOD’s security normalisation programme in Northern Ireland from 2005 to the end of ‘Operation Banner’ in 2007 before moving to the Assessments Staff in the Cabinet Office providing strategic intelligence assessments on Iraq, Northern Ireland and global terrorism to the Joint Intelligence Committee, Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers. During this time, he also headed the joint intelligence crisis cell, which reported directly to COBR.
Richard received a BA and MA in Chemistry from the University of Oxford.
