Nick Sharma is a Managing Director at IHS Markit based in Singapore where he heads up the upstream research and consulting business for the APAC region. Nick brings 17 years of wide ranging experience across the E&P value chain from detailed engineering to operations to strategy and new ventures work.
At IHS Markit, Nick’s focus has been primarily strategy, new ventures, country risk, commercial and policy work. In Asia, Nick has led multi-discipline teams in developing comprehensive E&P growth strategies for NOCs, as well as led a number of policy/fiscal terms initiatives for ministry/regulators.
Prior to joining IHS Markit, Nick worked for Capgemini as part of their Oil & Gas Practice, as well as in a new ventures and engineering roles with AWE Exploration and KBR in Australia and London respectively.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Curtin University of Technology with a Post-Graduate of Oil & Gas Engineering from the University of Western Australia.
Antonio Dimabuyu leads our Asia Pacific upstream teams working on E&P strategic content and market intelligence. He has worked for 15 years in the upstream energy industry. He started as an asset geologist for Chevron/Unocal, working on geothermal/steam field exploration and development in the Philippines and Indonesia. He joined IHS Markit in 2007 initially handling field and basin research prior to moving to a regional management role.
Throughout his stint with IHS Markit, he has been involved on projects and studies covering Asia Pacific upstream (basin assessment and ranking, reserves and production trend analysis, country upstream analysis, exploration and play analysis and trend assessment).
Antonio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University the Philippines. He is an active member of the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society.
Martin Mittag, Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, Martin joined Creditanstalt, Austria’s largest banks and rose to become Deputy Chief Executive of the bank’s New York Branch. In 2000 the bank was acquired by a competitor and Martin scratching an entrepreneurial itch, built his own company, a school teaching the public the building of wooden boats.
After selling the school to one of his student, Martin joined John S. Herold (later IHS Herold) in 2005. At IHS Herold Martin was charged with the development of clients in Europe, the Middle East and Asia/Pacific and he built a strong set of client relationships especially in Asia.
In 2013 Martin left IHS to join Eurasia Group, the political risk consultancy serving energy clients. His role was to increasing the understanding of political risk, its growing importance in corporate decision making and how to structure internal risk processes to ensure management and client alignment with regards to political risk. In December of 2015 Martin re-joined IHS as Director of Energy with special focus on Vantage, IHS’s asset valuation product.
Edward Liew has worked closed to 20 years in the upstream energy industry. He started his career as a Data Processing Geophysicist for WesternGeco, working on seismic acquisition and processing for the field. After a few years working offshore, he joined Schlumberger Information Solutions, to support and manage a team of application support geoscientists. He joined IHS in 2012 initially as a Senior Solutions Advisor before moving to his current role as Regional Support Team Manager. Throughout his career with IHS, he has involved primarily with supporting Petronas as well as other clients in the Asia pacific region. His involvement with Petronas covers various departments, from strategy to basin studies. Edward has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geophysicist degree from the University Science of Malaysia.
