Mark C. Boyadjis is a principal analyst and manager of Automotive User Experience. He leads the global HMI practice in both thought-leadership and daily operations. Mark has worked as a part of this Automotive Technology research practice at IHS Markit (and former acquired entities) for over 10 years.
Mark’s responsibilities include management and analysis of the global HMI research spanning automotive displays, controls, speech recognition, haptics, touch, and emerging HMI innovations in gesture and augmented reality. His insights extend to HMI design and usability as well through an extensive background in vehicle testing and usability constructs.
Mark is an often-quoted expert in his field and has presented on behalf of IHS Markit at several forums. He is regarded as a leader in Infotainment and HMI business practices, technology insights, and competitive intelligence. He has led projects and research that have aided many Automakers, Tier One, and Tier Two suppliers in designing, implementing, and executing strategic automotive technology goals in core product lines and on global scale.
Mark holds a Master of Science in Management of Technology (MS MOT) from the Technological Leadership Institute at the University of Minnesota’s College of Science and Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Management from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
Fedewa is responsible for global powertrain sales and production forecasting, future product program intelligence and market analysis, assessing future technologies and trends, and supplier and global integration issues. He has authored more than 170 individual market studies assessing the supply of components and systems in support of vehicle build with an emphasis on supply chain analysis and material and technology usage trends. Fedewa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Automotive and Heavy Equipment Fixed Operations Management from Ferris State University. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.
Joe Langley serves as Principal Analyst for IHS Automotive with responsibility for North American production forecasting and market analysis. He has over 20 years of automotive experience relating to forecasting, competitive intelligence, leasing and residual valuation and industry analysis. Mr. Langley has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Hofstra University.
Greg Pannone is President of Novation Analytics, a boutique provider of software solutions, data analysis, and advisory services, focusing on vehicle energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions.
Before founding Novation Analytics, Pannone was Head of Fuel Economy, Performance and Powertrain Synthesis at Chrysler Group, LLC. Included in his responsibilities were the strategic planning, fuel economy and performance simulation, sub-system specification, and development activities necessary to achieve the competitive and regulatory fuel economy and CO2 requirements for Chrysler Group products.
Prior to this, Pannone spent nearly 25 years in engine and powertrain systems development. At Chrysler, he led the powertrain systems development of many engines, including the HEMI V8. Before joining Chrysler, he was with General Motors Powertrain for 8 years at the Warren, MI Technical Center.
Pannone holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Master’s of Applied Statistics from Oakland University. He has authored and co-authored technical papers on alternative fuels, engine technology and control, exhaust emission after-treatment and fuel efficiency.
