Abbas Bilgrami

Managing Director, Juniper Advisors

Abbas Bilgrami is Managing Director of Juniper Advisors a consultancy and project development business with offices in Pakistan, South Africa and representation in Malaysia. The business focuses on the energy sector. It is engaged in activities in Pakistan, the MENA region, South Asia and Southern Africa.

Abbas has been involved in sizeable energy infrastructure projects including LPG terminals, power projects and LPG shipping operations.

Abbas has worked in the past with large LPG and Liquid Hydrocarbon trading houses in developing the Pakistan liquid and gaseous fuels market. He has recently become advisor to an Iraqi oil and gas exporter specializing in fuel oil, bitumen and LPG exports.

He has advised the Pakistani national natural gas utilities on various LPG and LNG projects and regularly provides advice to policy making institutions, regulatory bodies and commercial organizations.

Abbas is currently involved in developing projects in Pakistan, the UAE and Southern Africa in beneficiating lowgrade oil feedstocks on a small scale, using a revolutionary new technology which produces high quality high value liquid fuels.

He is also a director on the boards of Progas Energy an energy infrastructure development business with an interest in the Indian Ocean Rim and in Indus Earth Trust a Pakistan based not for profit which works on poverty alleviation, women empowerment through provision of entrepreneurial skills, supply of potable water and green energy projects to the coastal communities particularly impacted by climate change.

Abbas has a first degree from Pakistan and he qualified as a Management Accountant with a second degree from Canada and thirty years of experience globally in the energy sector upstream, mid and downstream in North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Southern Africa.

Tom Carlisle

LPG Gas Broker, Gibson Gas

Tom Carlisle has been the LPG analyst at Gibson Shipbrokers since April 2015, focusing on a wide range of topics in both the LPG shipping and product markets. Prior to this, Tom was an analyst in bunker fuels for Cockett Marine Oil, where he looked at the full range of shipping sectors, from tankers to livestock carriers, giving him a good knowledge base and exposing him to the peaks and troughs of the market.

CJ Chee

General Manager, Midstream, Elgas

CJ Chee is the General Manager Midstream of Elgas Limited, responsible for LPG supply, trading, bulk distribution and major terminal operations across Australia and New Zealand. Elgas is Australia’s leading LPG marketer, and operates Australia’s major import facility, the 65,000 tonne LPG Cavern storage in Sydney. Elgas is owned by the Linde Group.

CJ has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. CJ’s most recent roles were with Caltex Australia and Ampol Singapore. Prior to joining Caltex in 2011, CJ spent around 20 years working for Shell in Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore and the UK in a broad variety of refining, trading, supply chain and commercial roles.

CJ has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

Debnil Chowdhury

Director, Natural Gas Liquids Research, IHS Markit

Debnil is the primary author of the North American NGLs research service and is responsible for global feedstocks pricing. He has also directed a number of refined product and NGLs, pricing and market entry strategy studies for clients. He is the primary creator of the IHS proprietary long-term ethane analytics price forecast model, which can be used to provide insight on and quantitatively link ethane supply/demand to long-term pricing. Prior to IHS, he worked at Valero as a Senior Market Analyst, responsible for strategic planning and market analysis support for downstream, renewable, and retail assets globally and at Halliburton-KBR as a Process Engineer in Refining Technology Development.

Debnil holds a BS in Chemical Engineering and Certificate in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology, MS in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University, and an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.

Keefer Douglas

Director, Natural Gas Liquids Research and Consulting, IHS Markit

Keefer Douglas is a Director in the IHS Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) Research and Consulting group. Mr. Douglas leads NGL markets coverage for Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and Africa as well as the development of NGL supply, demand, and pricing studies for Europe/CIS/Africa and Asia. He has also contributed to several consulting projects and the IHS long-term NGL supply and demand study. Mr. Douglas joined IHS in 2013 through the acquisition of PFC Energy, where he was a member of the Global Gas group. At PFC, he managed the Gas Competition Service, which focused on company performance and strategy in global gas. As an Analyst, his research focused primarily on natural gas markets across North Asia and Southeast Asia and on competitive strategy, with a particular emphasis on the Chinese national oil companies. Mr. Douglas also forecasted natural gas and NGL supply and demand. Previously Mr. Douglas spent four years in Beijing with Sinosphere Corp., a consulting firm specialized in advising multinational clients in the energy and electronics manufacturing sectors, among others. At Sinosphere Corp., he was involved in a project that helped clients navigate Chinese policy and regulations related to health, safety, and environment and labor standards as well as implement best practices in these areas in their Chinese operations. Mr. Douglas holds a BA from Brown University and an MALD from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.

Stanislas Drochon

Director, Africa Oil & Gas, IHS Markit

Stanislas is the Director of the African Practice in Paris, and is primarily involved in consulting where he focuses on Africa and competitive strategy analysis. He is also the Manager of the Downstream Africa Service (DAS). Stanislas has provided workshops on the African Oil & Gas sector to a large number of oil companies operating in Africa as well as to government officials in numerous countries. Stanislas has contributed as a peer-reviewer to the World Energy Outlook (IEA – International Energy Agency) chapters on Africa in 2008, 2010 and 2013. He also has spoken at a large number of high level conferences in Africa and Europe. Prior to joining IHS, he worked in Mauritania for the UNDP as an Assistant to the Strategic Advisor. He is currently based in Southern Africa.

Joe Fasullo

Manager of International NGLs, Enterprise Products Partners

Mr. Fasullo is currently responsible for the execution of long-term and spot exports of all NGL cargos from the US Gulf Coast.

Mr. Fasullo joined Enterprise Products in 2011 as the Commercial Analyst for NGL Marketing and Supply supporting the Mont Belvieu, Conway and International NGL markets.

Joseph graduated from the University of Miami in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in International Finance and Marketing. Upon graduation, Mr. Fasullo began his working career in New York City with Credit Suisse Prime Services. There he acted as a Subject Matter Expert for action-oriented hedge funds and prime brokerage clients.

Scott Gray

Senior Director, Waterborne, IHS Markit

Scott Gray is Senior Director of IHS Energy, and is based in the company’s downtown, Houston office. An expert on the LPG industry, Gray recently joined IHS after serving as a partner in Waterborne Energy, which was acquired by IHS in 2013. For the past 23 years, he has focused on the overwater LPG trade and, as the Primary Researcher and Editor of the IHS Waterborne LPG Report, he has a wide-ranging and long-term view of the international LPG marketplace.

Prior to joining Waterborne Energy in May of 1992, Scott spent six years in the petrochemical industry as Editor and then Managing Director of the Houston office for ICIS-LOR, a publisher of petrochemical and energy information. Gray attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos.

Yanyu He

Director, Asia Pacific/Middle East NGLs, IHS Markit

Yanyu He is Director of Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) Research, IHS Markit Energy. He leads the Asia Pacific and Middle East NGLs markets. He has 14 years of experience in the energy industry covering various markets and areas of expertise. Prior to joining HIS, he spent five years at The Boston Consulting Group and played a major role in the firm’s North American upstream and midstream energy market research, focusing on unconventional oil and gas and NGLs. He also spent about four years at Direct Energy, with responsibilities that included risk management, market fundamentals research and natural gas trading strategy. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Tsinghua University and a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis.

Tomo Iwasaki

Manager – LPG/CPP/Chemical Team, NYK Line

Tomonao Iwasaki, manager of the LPG/CPP/Chemical Team within the Tanker Group at NYK Line, has more than 17 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry. He began his career with NYK in the container shipping division as a sales representative and later moved to NYK Line North America, where he was in charge of inland transportation management, trade analyses, and P&L management in the company’s Marketing Group. His experience in the container shipping industry led him to NYK subsidiary Yusen Logistics in 2009. Two years later, he was sent to Yusen Logistics (Thailand) as an assistant general manager, and in 2014 he was promoted to general manager of the Business Development Group, where he was in charge of freight forwarding, warehousing, and cross border transportation. In 2015, he returned to NYK’s head office in Tokyo, where he was appointed manager of the company’s Tanker Group. He currently oversees NYK’s LPG, CPP, and chemical tankers. He will make use of his extensive experience in shipping to speak about the LPG waterborne trade.

Kevin (Hyung Mok) Kim

Head of Planning & Optimization Team, SK Gas Co. Ltd.

Kevin Kim is the Head of Planning & Optimization Team at SK Gas Co. He leads the development of growth strategies for the company’s LPG trading business and spearheads its partnership initiatives for product and geographic expansion. Before holding the current position from 2016, he headed the corporate planning and risk management functions of SK Gas’s trading subsidiary in Singapore, helping the company to double its LPG trading volume to 10 million tons per year. Throughout his career as the strategy and planning specialist in SK, he led various cross cultural corporate development projects in the US, China, Singapore, Vietnam and Korea. He obtained an MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Helen Liang

Secretary General, Guangdong Oil and Gas Association

Helen Liang has 17 years of progressive experience in the China Energy industry focusing on public relations management, industry analysis and consultation, and event organization and marketing. She has been with Guangdong Oil and Gas Association since 2006 and currently serves as the Secretary General. Helen obtained a BA in Information Management from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and an MBA degree from Sun Yat-sen University.

Alexey Markov

Sales Executive, Hydrocarbons Feedstock, SIBUR International GmbH

Alexey Markov holds the position of Sales Executive of Hydrocarbons feedstock Business Unit in Sibur International GmbH. He joined the company in 2011 as an LPG trader and nowadays he is leading a team of traders and operators in the company’s sales office in Vienna, Austria being in-charge of LPG, Pentanes and Naphtha International sales. Prior to joining Sibur, he spent 6 years in London working for BP Oil International Limited. He started as a trading operator and then was in charge of OTC derivatives origination and marketing. Before coming to London, he was a head of export operations department in TNK-BP, a joint venture between Russian vertically integrated oil company TNK and a British oil major. Alexey has more than 17 years of working experience in oil and gas industry including physical trading, operations and derivatives.

Alexey studied Management in International Trade and Maritime Economics in Norwegian Shipping Academy in Oslo. He also holds a Bachelor degree in International Economic Relations from Moscow State University of Commerce.

Wayne Menezes

Head of Business Intelligence, Epic Gas

Wayne has 26 years experience in the oil and gas shipping industry and has been with Epic since 2005. He started his career as a deck officer with Mobil Shipping and then took up a job ashore in 2002 with PSA Singapore as a Harbor Pilot. In the last few years, Wayne has focused on researching and analyzing the pressurized LPG market and the dynamics of the small ship LPG trade. He obtained his Master Mariner certification at Warsash Maritime College (Southampton) and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers. Wayne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and a Master’s in Finance.

Matthew Par

Marketing Communications & Business Development Officer, PR Gaz

Matthew currently focuses on marketing communications and strategic partnerships for PR Gaz, Inc. The Market Development Division that he works under is specifically tasked with generating demand growth for LPG in the Philippines, a country that has less than 50% penetration rate. It is his job to convert the other half of the population towards clean fuel.

He also serves as a director for PRG Industrial Solutions, Inc., an engineering company involved in trade, construction and services activities.

Matthew is a member of Ernst and Young’s NextGen Club, an international network of young entrepreneurs from 58 different countries, and is a founding member of the Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Prior to joining the company, Matthew had worked as a waiter, a car salesman, and a wallet maker in the Philippines, and as a business development intern and a market researcher in Singapore.

He received a degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines.

Tony Potter

Vice President, IHS Markit Mr. Tony Potter serves as vice president at IHS Markit, leading chemical research and analysis in the Asia-Pacific region.

James Rockall

CEO and Managing Director, World LPG Association (WLPGA)

Based in Paris, he has full responsibility for legal, financial, operational, strategic, governance and performance-related aspects of the organization with customers operating in more than 125 countries around the world.

Mr. Rockall has 25 years of global experience in the energy sector. He has a very strong energy and business development background having worked for Shell International in senior management positions in The Netherlands and Venezuela. Prior to joining the WLPGA in July 2003, James worked for two years as a Director of the global energy group ALSTOM SA.

He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with a Master’s degree with Honours from the University of Nottingham in the UK and an MBA from the Institute of Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Manish Sejwal

Midstream Oil and Natural Gas Liquids Analyst, IHS Markit

Manish Sejwal is an Analyst on the Midstream Oil and Natural Gas Liquids team. Based out of Gurgaon, India, Mr. Sejwal focuses on NGL and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supply/demand balances, trade, and short-term price outlooks for the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. Additionally, he prepares Insights that provide periodic analysis of critical market developments and trends in Asia. He is also responsible for Waterborne LPG deliverables. Mr. Sejwal has nearly six years of experience in the oil and gas domain. Prior to joining IHS, he worked with Evalueserve, where he was the product owner of the refinery database and assisted the trading desk of the Norwegian national oil company by preparing various analytical models, including the refining margin model and the gasoline/gasoil supply and demand model for Northwest Europe. Before Evalueserve, he was with Accenture and was responsible for profiling wells data from the US Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Sejwal holds a B.Tech from Ohio State University and an MBA from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology.

Victor Shum, Ph.D.
