US solar capex and O&M costs remain highly variable
A wide gap exists between minimum and maximum levels in capital expenditures for the US photovoltaics (PV) market. The variance in solar installation system costs, which continues despite completed PV systems reaching record levels in the country last year, carries important considerations for both PV owners and investors. Operation and maintenance (O&M) costs also showed great disparity on a per-project basis.
The findings are part of new data accessed by IHS in an exclusive collaboration with Mercatus, the California-based energy investment platform.
