Joint Technical Architecture (JTA)

JTA provides technology standards addressing technology interoperability for the U.S. Military.

  • Joint Technical Architecture (JTA) technology standards are developed by the JTA Development Group (JTADG), under the direction of the DoD Technical Architecture Steering Group (TASG). JTA standards specify information technology standards, including Web standards, to achieve military interoperability.

    JTAs mandate the minimum set of standards and guidelines for the acquisition of all U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) systems that produce, use or exchange information. It is designed to be used by anyone involved in the management, development or acquisition of new or improved systems within DoD.

    JTA referenced standards from IHS include:

    • All JTA documents versions including the scope of JTA compliance and its mandated standards 
    • Industry standards - approximately 60% of the standards referenced in the JTA to provide you with a comprehensive, single source of information including:
      • ANSI 
      • IEEE 
      • SAE 
      • EIA 
      • IETF 
      • SMPTE 
      • ICAO 
      • ISO 
      • TIA 
      • IEC 
      • ITU

If that didn’t work, try the following:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. From the View menu, select Text Size
  2. Select an option from Smallest to Largest

Firefox or Netscape

  1. From the View menu, select Zoom or Text Size
  2. Select Increase or Decrease

Google Chrome

  1. Click the wrench icon next to the address bar.
  2. Next to Zoom, select + or -
