ASIS International, formerly known as American Society for Industrial Security, publishes security standards and guidelines to serve the needs of security professionals worldwide. ASIS has been accredited by ANSI and develops its guidelines and standards through voluntary members of its Standards and Guidelines Commission.
The Guidelines Program of ASIS International has received a Designation award under the Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (the SAFETY Act) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
