EGIS is a Windows® mapping application containing regularly updated, integrated data. Choose the data you need - including pipelines, wells, facilities, gas plants, environmental reference layers, and more - to generate and disseminate a project map report.

EGIS enables you to:

• Create valuable visual depictions of raw data that enable you to discern problems or opportunities - such as environmentally sensitive or restricted areas - you might not have seen by solely reading the data
• Generate and disseminate project map reports using our pre-defined layouts or by creating one of your own

EGIS is simple: you select the data you need, IHS updates it for you regularly, and you create a visual map of the data using a GIS-style interface.

Along with our predefined EGIS reports, you can create and share your own report layouts.

EGIS provides a number of user-friendly features, including:

• Query functionality:
  • Perform simple "point click" queries
  • Query a graoup of elements by irregular polygon
  • Select all features visible in the current screen view or within a defined radius circular area
  • Use "line intersect" to click on multiple points and place a user defined polyline which intersects with other linear pipeline features
  • Send intersecting features to a summary report
• Exportable reports:
  • Export report data to spreadsheet, pdf, comma-separated values and rich text file formats for use in other applications
• Well and pipeline custom reports:
  • Select the precise information you want to extract
  • Tabulate, sort, print, and export custom reports or selected fields
  • Transfer reports to other EGIS installations
• Annotation markup
  • Annotate, redline, and generate custom pipeline and well tags using markup tools
  • Place your own text, lines, and objects as well as select your own settings for color, size, and line weight
  • Customize interactive map tags that extract information from the database based on your choices
  • Place tags where you indicate, and include leader lines to clarify a map
  • Export markup features as a unique layer by using our DXF Export feature
