United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UKCAA)
Air worthiness standards and data from the UKCAA.
The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UKCAA) publishes airworthiness requirements, directives, standards, and other technical publications that apply to all aircraft flying into or out of the United Kingdom. Many UKCAA standards have also been adopted by other European countries.
UKCAA airworthiness documents address virtually all technical and engineering aspects of the design, manufacture, and maintenance of aircraft and aircraft components.
The following types of documents are included:
- Airworthiness notices
- British hovercraft safety requirements
- Joint airworthiness requirements (JAR)
- TSS standards
- UK special conditions
- World helicopter accident summary
The UKCAA also serves as an government advisor on aviation issues, consumer interests, economic and scientific research and produces statistical data and provides specialist services
The IHS collection includes UKCAA data on airworthiness.
