Transportation Infrastructure Data (TID) is a dataset developed jointly with GDM, providing the most comprehensive and accurate source of transportation infrastructure data for Western Canada and the Territories.
Exclusively distributed through IHS, TID serves as a geospatial transportation network that offers:
- An integrated view of Canadian road infrastructure, access data and data attributes
- Supplementary wellsite road access coverage
- Application-ready spatial data distribution capability
The TID locations are captured by GDM through detailed satellite imagery. IHS consolidates this information with attributes from our proprietary historical roads database and other data from government and industry sources to create a single model. Designed for expansion and increased functionality, the TID is updated monthly by GDM with new roads and attributes, from road closures to bridge heights. Clients can submit additions or request to have their proprietary roads added to the model.
