AccuMap® Introduction to Maps and Data

Intended Audience
Designed for Land personnel, Geologists, Engineers, Geophysicists, Geoscientists, Analysts, Technologists, Technicians, Administrators, Accounting and other petroleum industry personnel who have some familiarity with the software and data. If you are looking for a broad overview of the mapping features and how to find the data that is important to you, this is the class to begin with.  

Description
Designed for AccuMap users focusing on those who need to access data from their maps and represent data on their maps. From data querying, to mapping, to subsurface analysis, AccuMap saves time, manages your risk, and dramatically increases your workflow efficiency. This course will enable you to inspect extensive exploration and production databases, build basic queries, and work with lists.

Course topics include:

• Work with directories to organize maps and lists.
• Become proficient in wells, new wells, daily pipelines and other data inspecting.
• Learn querying functionality for wells, pools and other data.
• Become proficient in saving, customizing attributes and exporting data with lists.
• Learn to export data lists directly into other programs.
• Practice these skills during class time.
• Use the Online Help, Release Notes and Quick Start guide as reference material.

AccuMap® Land Maps and Data

Intended Audience
Designed for Land Administrators, Surface Land Professionals, Mineral Rights Land Professionals, Geologists and Engineers who wish to learn more advanced functionality in AccuMap.

Description
The participants will acquire in-depth workflow-based knowledge of the Land module within AccuMap. You will learn how AccuMap can give you a detailed overview of the Canadian oil and gas industry right from your desktop. See who the operators are, easily and efficiently analyze A & D opportunities, determine mineral rights in your area of interest, and much more. Learn how to utilize the most complete and accurate crown and detailed freehold land ownership database in Canada.

Course topics include:

• Displaying land layers to create complete sales results or activity maps, displaying Leased Crown, Freehold and Open Lands
• Posting text on land maps, draw regions and annotations to create presentation quality land maps
• Land data inspecting, land card customization
• Land related queries: create zonal searches, investigate continuations and expires, determine interest holders
• Saving, customizing attributes and exporting data to reports with land lists
• Exporting land lists as shapefiles and .CSV files
• Linking AccuMap to CS Explorer
• Tying well data to land

AccuMap® Geology Maps and Data

Intended Audience
Designed for Geologists, Technologists, Technicians, Geophysicists, Geoscientists or petroleum industry personnel who desire to learn more advanced mapping functionality in AccuMap.

Description
This course takes participants to the next step in harnessing the power of AccuMap. You will acquire detailed knowledge of the Contour Maps and Production Bubble Maps. You will learn a different way of importing and entering tops using Tops Manager. You will also learn to manage multiple User Tops directories by adding new user tops sources, copy and merge user tops and assigning user tops owners.

Course topics include:

• Contour structure and Isopach maps
• Eliminate erroneous data values (bullseyes) and exclude from contoured maps
• Contour on Well .CSV and Core Post files
• Customize Production Bubble and DST Show maps
• Post Well information onto presentation maps
• Import Well lists
• Import and work with tops in Tops Manager
• Manage multiple User Tops directories

AccuMap® Fast Track

Intended Audience:
IHS customers who have been using AccuMap for a while, but need a refresher class, summer/intern/co-op students, or those who need to cover a large amount of material in a short period of time.

Description:
The Fast Track class is very fast paced and is designed for experienced AccuMap users who require a condensed overview of AccuMap tools. This class combines the material that is covered in 4 of our other AccuMap classes (AccuMap Getting Started, AccuMap Introduction to Maps and Data, AccuMap Working with Geology Maps and AccuLogs Introductory), into one class. You will learn how to utilize the most current functionality in AccuMap and see which tools will assist you the most in your workflow.

Please note: This course is not intended for individuals who are new to AccuMap or require a slower paced class. If you would like a more detailed, content specific class, please register for one of our regular AccuMap/AccuLogs classes.
