He has specialized in nuclear power and coverage of the U.S. Energy Department’s nuclear weapons complex, among other topics. George has been recognized for reporting excellence more than ten times by the Washington National Press Club and Newsletter Publishers Association, winning awards for breaking exclusive stories. George graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a BA in History.

Prior to that, Jeff worked for American Forests, a Washington, D.C.-area non-governmental organization, managing a federally sponsored carbon sequestration and energy conservation program, and for Numark Associates Consultants, specializing in nuclear waste and other energy policy issues. Jeff has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University.

  Chris Holly covers climate change and leads congressional coverage for IHS Energy group on a daily basis; this has been a focus of Chris’s work since 1997. He began his career in 1985 in North Carolina, covering local government and politics at the Chapel Hill bureau of The (Raleigh) News and Observer. In 1992, Chris moved to McGraw Hill, where he continued his coverage of climate change for the company’s energy business newsletters. He joined the staff of The Energy Daily five years later. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Davidson College, and attended the University of North Carolina, School of Journalism.

  Mr. Woodworth is based in Washington and contributes expertise on all natural gas developments in the Americas. Mr. Woodworth joined IHS in 2011 with a background in regulatory and policy components and is responsible for analyzing regulatory and policy areas of the US natural gas markets presenting views on offshore drilling and US coal. Prior to joining IHS he was a Research Analyst at the National Association of State Energy Officials in Alexandria, Virginia.
  Mr. Woodworth holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies, cum laude, with a focus on environmental studies from the American University in Washington, DC.

Eric has been involved in the energy business for more than 30 years as a National Press Club award-winning journalist and a consultant. Eric specialized in nuclear power, and as a consultant, in the international nuclear fuel cycle. In Washington, D.C., and New York City, he was managing editor for three of McGraw-Hill Publications Company’s (now Platts) publications on the nuclear power industry. Among his accomplishments, he founded the World Nuclear Transport Institute, a non-governmental organization recognized by the United Nation’s International Maritime Organization. Eric is a Summa cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Eta Sigma Phi graduate of Gettysburg College in English and has done graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh.
