IHS Digital Curve Data can help you interpret structure and stratigraphic changes through fields and basins and better understand a basin’s geological depositional history and reservoir management parameters. IHS Digital Logs have a full suite of curves which enables geologists, engineers and petrophysicists to calculate: water saturation, cross-plot porosity, shale volumes, oil saturation, rock strength, net pay, and more.

Digital curve data files provide a historical insight into a region and are an essential component to the exploration decision-making process. Wells logs provide a broad range of valuable information related to the rock and fluid properties of the well and are crucial in determining which zones contain hydrocarbons, their potential, and how best to produce those zones for maximum gain. The digital data (value, depth, etc) captured during a well log run is written to an industry standard LAS file. LAS files contain well header summary information and the depths and values of the individual well curves.    

Digital Curve Data is available through IHSLogNet.com and can be accessed at any time. Digital Curve Data is available either transactionally or via annual subscription. Log availability is easy to see via a link in IHS Enerdeq Browser. You can quickly see what logs are available for your area of interest and then send the results to LogNet so you can quickly download the logs you need.
