  • Struxure is a web-based software application for managing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) catalogs. It develops, manages and maintains accurate and consistent item descriptions, which become the basis for creating item records in a customer’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) or enterprise asset management (EAM) system.

Designed for use with the Standard Modifier Dictionary™ (SMD), Struxure builds a consistent and manageable MRO catalog that is accessible enterprise-wide. It enforces rules for creating consistent standardized descriptions that are established by the SMD.

Struxure's powerful catalog management features include:

    • New item creation
    • Edit and update tools
    • Global value standardization
    • Short and long description generation
    • Catalog search
    • Duplicate/alternate identification

Struxure can store and display attachments such as images, documents, catalog pages and web links.

Struxure features certified integrations to many leading ERP, EAM and MDM systems such as SAP, IBM Maximo, and many others.

    Benefits
Struxure enables you to realize savings through:

    • Identifying duplicate inventory
    • Selecting lower cost, functionally equivalent non-OEM alternates
    • Avoiding false stock-outs
    • Simplifying inventory searches
    • Reducing equipment downtime
    • Realizing maximum benefits from ERP/EAM systems.
  • Struxure leverages the most refined and established standard for describing MRO materials, used in thousands of plants worldwide – the Standard Modifier Dictionary (SMD). The SMD provides the instructions and rules for creating consistent standardized description, and Struxure enforces those rules.

    1intermata.gif
Struxure is built to take maximum advantage of the SMD, the world's most widely used and accepted standard for the description of MRO parts and supplies.

Struxure includes advanced catalog search functionality, which enables users to browse and locate inventory by item description, category, attribute/characteristic or by a series of references such as vendor, plant, commodity code, UNSPSC/eCl@ss code and status.

    2intermatb.gif
Value Standardization is one of Struxure's most powerful tools, allowing users to modify characteristic values while maintaining the consistency and integrity of their catalog database.

Struxure provides value standardization, allowing users to modify characteristic values for a single record or throughout the catalog database.

Additionally, Struxure facilitates catalog management by allowing users to update and add item parameters/attributes globally. For example, if in one record the characteristic value "stainless steel" is changed to "SS", that modification can be changed throughout the database.

    3intermatc.gif
Struxure enforces the SMD standard when users add or edit item records.  It ensures that every description is standardized and normalized, even if they have been entered by different users in different plants.

When users add or edit item records, Struxure enforces the SMD standard.  It ensures that every description is standardized and normalized, even if entered by different users in different locations.

Struxure integrates with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Master Data Management (MDM) systems.

    A few of these include:

    • SAP® Materials Management (MM) module
    • SAP Service and Asset Management
    • SAP MDM
    • IBM Maximo®
    • Mincom®
    • Ventyx Asset Suite (Indus Passport™)
    • Oracle (PeopleSoft®/JDE)
    • Infor/Datastream
    • AssetPoint/TabWare
  • Struxure Connectors – Manage Data Flow between Struxure and EAM/ERP Applications

Struxure Connectors seamlessly automate and synchronize the data flow between Struxure and your EAM/ERP application.  It ensures that you need only update information in one system and utilize the same information in both systems.  The Struxure Connectors enable updates, additions and deletions of class/classification (SMD noun/modifier), characteristics, MRO items, associated manufacturer/ vendor information and plant information.  Data is captured and replicated between Struxure and EAM/ERP databases on a periodic (configurable) basis via Windows services on the Struxure application server.

    Struxure Connectors for SAP

While the Struxure Connectors for your EAM/ERP include robust capabilities 'out of the box,' we find that each company has unique requirements and differing implementation and configurations. Therefore, we can configure the Struxure Connectors to meet your specific requirements.
