AIS Network

We see up to 95,000 vessels every day, hold over five years of detailed historical movement activity, and can visualize this onscreen, bringing to life real-time intelligence on global vessel movements.

2012-13 Register of Ships and List of Ship-owners Now Available

Published since 1764 and widely recognized as the premier source of reference, the Register of Ships provides information on the world fleet of all seagoing, self propelled merchant ships of 100 GT and above.  A subscription includes access to Shipfinder Online until end of July 2013.

The List of Shipowners complements the Register of Ships by providing details of shipowners and managers and their respective fleets. A subscription includes access to Shipowners Online until end of July 2013.

Data Enhancements

Some of the highlights of the last 6 months include sustaining high quality data across our ship registration, class and ownership arenas with Correctness measuring 97%. We have increased our number of P&I data sources from 4 to 15 in the last quarter alone, which has improved Correctness as well as Completeness. Response rates to IMO Company Number Requests remain between 99 – 100% each month and our feedback response to ownership and quality queries sits at 99% for EMEA and 91% for APAC.  For more information.

Market Intelligence Network

Market Intelligence Network, the IHS workbench for physical commodity traders, has launched a new feature called Custom Monitoring Zones.  Users can create monitoring zones in any ocean or port area, such as transit channels, anchorages, terminals and even specific berths.  Users can receive email alerts whenever a vessel enters or exits the zone, and can generate a report displaying full data on all vessels within a zone.  The Custom Monitoring Zones are used by commodity traders for real-time intelligence on terminal and berth vessel activity and to ascertain current operational conditions, such as traffic through key straits and ocean lanes. 

Enhancements to your Customer Care Service

IHS Fairplay clients can enjoy unlimited access to our support experts. We support clients with a three tier support system all with highly trained experts and local language speakers in all teams.

As part of the subscription we can provide basic training services tailored to client’s individual requirements, with a translator present. This can be in WebEx classrooms, one-to-one WebEx sessions, and email/ telephone support with our product experts.

We can provide an enhanced client training service as part of an agreed service level agreement.
