Standards Council of Canada (SCC)

The SCC approves national standards of Canada and provides standards from over 370 standards developing organizations through its webstore.

  • The Standards Council of Canada (SCC) publishes voluntary standards for Canada and oversees the National Standards System (NSS), which is a network of organizations and individuals involved in voluntary standards development, promotion and implementation in Canada.

    The SCC is involved in coordinating Canada's participation in the development of international standards through organizations such as the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
