International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
More than 6,200 standards documents published by the IEC for electrical, electronic and related technologies.
The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies.
This collection contains English translations of all current IEC standards, recommended standards and publications of the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR).
IEC standards encompass all electrotechnologies including electronics, magnetics and electromagnetics, electroacoustics, multimedia, telecommunication, and energy production and distribution, in addition to related general disciplines such as terminology and symbols, electromagnetic compatibility, measurement and performance, dependability, design and development, safety and the environment.
IEC standards are used by exporters and importers (in both government and industry) involved in engineering, design, production and construction. IEC standards are also frequently referenced in national standardization and metrication programs and in the comparison of standards, products and systems.
The complete service is subdivided into sections which may be ordered separately or in any combination.
