FM Approvals standards are used to test and certify property loss prevention product and services.

FM Approvals, a business unit of FM Global, publishes standards for various types of property loss prevention products and services. They address the areas of fire prevention and extinguishment; electrical equipment for hazardous and ordinary locations; building materials and construction evaluation; detection and signaling; and flammable liquids and combustion.
FM Approvals standards are used to test loss prevention products and certify those that meet FM Approval standards.
The list below shows all current FM Approval standards. Please note that FM Approvals also tests products using recognized standards of other organizations.
