Fluid Control Institute (FCI)

FCI publishes standards relating to the fluid control and fluid instrument industry.

  • The Fluid Control Institute (FCI) provides standards and other materials to assist purchasers and users in understanding and using fluid control and conditioning equipment. All FCI standards are voluntary, and most are submitted to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for approval.

    FCI Standards originate in the Institute's sections, which address issues relevant to particular products and/or technologies. Currently, FCI comprises the following sections:

    • Control Valve
    • Instrument
    • Pipeline Strainer
    • Regulator
    • Secondary Pressure Drainer
    • Solenoid Valve
    • Steam Trap
