American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
More than 1,000 standards documents on topics from construction to nuclear from ANSI.
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) provides active standards documents from a select group of accredited standards committees. The IHS collection of ANSI standards does not include standards that have been approved by ANSI but copyrighted by other organizations. Those are available from the originating standards developing organization via IHS.
ANSI establishes the consensus procedures that are the basis for the development of American National Standards. It accredits standards developing organizations that operate in accordance with these procedures and approves their draft standards provided the standards are developed via the ANSI process.
Available ANSI standards apply to the following topics:
- Electrical and electronic
- Information Systems
- Photography and motion pictures
