Methyl Formate by Dehydrogenation of Methanol
Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC) is constructing a 44 million lb (20,000 metric tons)/yr plant to produce methyl formate by vapor phase dehydrogenation of methanol. The process, called the MC0 process, reportedly uses a copper-based catalyst.
