Content comes from the same editorial desks that create IHS Fairplay magazine, IHS Safety at Sea and IHS Dredging and Port Construction, ensuring that you have access to the most complete maritime news source available. Movements Module*

Access five years of uninterrupted satellite and terrestrial coverage of ship positions and port callings along the world's critical maritime trade routes.

View a ship's historic movements, port callings, current position and last reported position

View a particular owner's, manager's or operator's fleet position

Each movement record shows the port of call, country, arrival date and sailing date. The facility includes options to search by ship name, country/port of call and dates, as well as having more complex search capabilities for ship type, flag, ownership and tonnages.

AutoWatch Module

Create watch lists of ships or companies and set up email alerts to receive notification when key fields change, or use pre-defined watch lists such as OFAC SDN listed ships, ships in casualty, ships coming off fixture and ship detentions.

If taken with the Movements Module you can also watch ship positions, port arrivals and departures, updated ETAs and the passing of key global transit points.

Security Module

Bringing together the resources of IHS Fairplay and IHS Jane's, and updated every working day, this online service provides you with up-to-date coverage of global events affecting the security of your ships, such as piracy and other security related issues.

The archive of news and events affecting port conditions is linked by port, country, region and subject. An executive summary provides a quick reference to the risk pointers affecting each country, and a history of recent events affecting internal and external affairs. Any changes to the risk evaluation information are highlighted in a daily email update.

Ports Module

New features have been added to enhance the Ports Module. These include:

• World Map, a new tab created for users to access port information from the map
• Port State Control data has been added to the Port navigation tree called Ships Inspected. This section shows up to 100 last inspections by the Port State Control Authorities
• Berths and Terminals contains details of over 6,500 dry cargo berths

Access comprehensive details of over 10,000 ports and terminals including a complete description of the port and all of the relevant facilities; pre-arrival and navigation details; berths and cargo; tanker berths; over 4000 plans and mooring diagrams; over 23,000 contact details of port service providers and agents; port photographs; and local weather conditions.

This module fully integrates with the Movements and Fixtures modules. Within the Port Overview you can view ships currently in or destined for a port, with links back to the Ship Overview, plus information on fixtures discharging and loading with links back to the Fixtures Overview or other ports. The option to visualize the port location using Bing maps is provided.

Fixtures Module

An extensive search facility provides details on dry and wet vessels engaged in international charter markets, supplied by Maritime Research, Inc.

Key data, supplied by Maritime Research Inc., includes charterer, commodity, charter party tonnage, terms, dates and commodity, load area and port, discharge area and port, date on and off fixture, and fixture history.

Credit Reports Module

Retrieve summary company credit reports supplied by Ocean Intelligence Pte Ltd. 2,700 up-to-date credit analysis summaries are available, linking 4,500 ship owning, operating and management companies.

Enhanced Credit Reports Module

Download full company credit reports and gain access to in-depth, accurate and timely information and analysis on organizations working in the maritime trading sector. Reports are supplied by Ocean Intelligence Pte Ltd and are subject to report terms and conditions

Casualty Module

View a vessel's casualty history or search for a casualty incident by a number of combined criteria.  Search through 121,000 non-serious and serious casualties, as well as total losses and demolitions.

IHS Fairplay Sea-web displays easy-to-use functionality with a full range of search capabilities, from the simple to the more complex. Complex search findings appear in a powerful grid facility enabling sort, group, find and export features. Individual ship, company and shipbuilder information displays as summary text or in tabular form.

Translations

User Notes

• Enabling users to add personal notes against company records in the Ships, Company, Builder and Port databases
• Simply click in the My Notes box and type the text required and click on save
• The text can easily be edited and will be seen by all users accessing the account
