Can Liquefied Natural Gas for Heavy-Duty Trucks Help Solve Europe’s Diesel Dilemma?

In the United States, natural gas is fast becoming an economical fuel for trucks—and liquefied natural gas (LNG) provides the range needed by heavy-duty, long-haul vehicles. In Europe, replacement of truck diesel by LNG is also technically and economically justified, but development of the necessary retail network appears less likely.
