Aaron F. Brady, IHS CERA Director of Global Oil, is an expert in the global oil market, including downstream price dynamics, political and regulatory influences and economic trends. His analyses focus on the fundamentals of the North American refined product markets and on energy/environmental legislation and regulatory issues, including the role of alternative fuels. Mr. Brady is a regular contributor to the IHS CERA Global Oil Advisory Service, providing market analysis on supply and demand fundamentals and key trends in the global downstream industry for both the IHS CERA World Refined Product Outlook and the World Oil Watch. He is the author of several IHS CERA Private Reports, including an investigation of peak gasoline demand in the United States and the potential for plug-in hybrid electric cars. He was also a key contributor to the IHS CERA Multiclient Studies Growth in the Canadian Oil Sands: Finding the New Balance and Crossing the Divide: The Future of Clean Energy. Before joining IHS CERA Mr. Brady was a consultant in the oil industry, focusing on downstream regulatory issues including the transition to ethanol in the California gasoline market.
Mr. Brady holds a BA from Amherst College and an MA from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.

Chris Holmes, IHS Senior Director, Global Gas and LNG, having previously held the position of Vice-President with Purvin & Gertz, Inc. In 2011, Purvin & Gertz Inc. was acquired by IHS. Having joined Purvin & Gertz in 1999 and based in the London office, Mr. Holmes has extensive international oil and gas industry experience, having carried out major oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids studies for clients in Europe, the Former Soviet Union, North and West Africa, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
Previously, with Gaffney, Cline & Associates (GCA), international energy advisers, he was a senior consultant. During his ten years with GCA, Mr. Holmes was based in both the United Kingdom and Singapore offices.
Before his GCA post, he was with Amoco for a number of years, initially as a Process Engineer at its Milford Haven refinery and, later, as a Product Trader.
Mr. Holmes holds a BSc (Hons.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Thornton is a Beijing-based Analyst at IHS, within the Global Economics team. He is responsible for macroeconomic analysis of China, both at national and provincial level, and contributes to the China Regional Service. Prior to joining IHS, Thornton was an East Asia Risk Analyst at a British political risk firm and a contributor for the Economist Intelligence Unit. Thornton holds Masters degrees from the University of Edinburgh and University of Sydney, and speaks Mandarin.

Ke Feng Yan, IHS CERA Senior Director, is a member of the IHS CERA Global Oil research team. Mr. Yan has over 20 years experience in the Chinese oil and gas industry, specializing in operations strategy, project development and policy. He is an expert on the analysis of Chinese oil demand, refining and industry regulation. Mr. Yan leads the IHS CERA advisory service coverage of the Chinese oil market and advises IHS CERA clients on energy investment strategies in China. Prior to joining IHS CERA, Mr. Yan held senior management positions at ARCO China, managing oil downstream business development and leading ARCO’s government relations for upstream operations. Previously Mr. Yan served Eni as Senior Advisor to its chief representative in China, and at Agip China he held management positions in business development and government relations.
Mr. Yan holds an honors diploma from Beijing Foreign Studies University and an advanced degree from the Beijing Institute of International Economic Management. He is based in Beijing.

Xizhou Zhou, Director, IHS CERA, leads the IHS CERA China Energy practice and specializes in gas and power market fundamentals and policy analysis. Based in Beijing, Mr. Zhou is a core member of the IHS energy research and consulting team in Asia.
Mr. Zhou is the author of numerous IHS CERA reports and has managed a variety of consulting engagements. His latest research includes contributing to the IHS CERA Multiclient Study Unconventional Frontier exploring the future of shale gas and coalbed methane outside North America, as well as leading the analysis on the causes and likelihood of future power shortages in China and the implications for the wider energy markets.
Prior to joining IHS CERA Mr. Zhou was a consultant engaged in regulatory and energy economics projects at Industrial Economics, Inc. in Boston. Earlier in his career he was a research analyst at the World Resources Institute in Washington, DC, where he focused on energy and transportation in developing Asia and Latin America. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and proficient in Spanish, Mr. Zhou holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Environmental Management degrees from Yale University.
Xizhou Zhou, Director, IHS CERA, was named in the Forbes ’30 Under 30’ Energy Category.
