Gustav Ando, Director of the IHS Healthcare Group, has overall responsibility for a group of pharmaceutical analysts who serve as the basis for the IHS portfolio of subscription, multi-client study and consulting analytics services.
A former senior healthcare analyst with specialised expertise in healthcare reform and market analysis, Mr. Ando is responsible for overall business strategy, new business opportunities and IT positioning of the healthcare group. He is the author and podium presenter of numerous abstracts at research conferences such as ISPOR, and regularly speaks to media about ongoing trends in healthcare and pharmaceuticals. He has a graduate degree from the University of Uppsala (Sweden) specializing in healthcare politics.
Jim Brown has 20 years of experience in application software, management consulting and research focused on the manufacturing industries. Jim is a recognized expert in software solutions for manufacturers and has broad knowledge of applying Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), ERP, quality, service management, and other enterprise applications to improve business performance.
Jim began his professional experience in manufacturing engineering and software systems at General Electric before joining Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and subsequently served as an executive for software companies specializing in PLM and Manufacturing solutions.
Jim founded Tech-Clarity, Inc. in 2002. Since that time, he has served in a research and analyst role and partnered with other analyst firms including Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC), The PLM Evaluation Center and AMR Research. Jim established and grew Aberdeen Group's Product Innovation & Engineering Practice after they acquired Tech-Clarity in 2005, and subsequently served as VP and Group Director for Aberdeen's PLM and Manufacturing Industry Research Practices. In 2008, Jim returned to establish Tech-Clarity "2.0" to continue his mission to make the value of technology clear to business in the Web 2.0 era.
Mr. Brown has unique capabilities in discovering and communicating the business value of technology. Jim is an experienced author and public speaker and enjoys the opportunity to participate in conferences or anywhere that he can engage with people that are passionate about improving business performance through software technology.
