The pharmaceutical industry and the medical device and diagnostics (MDD) industry have traditionally operated in silos, even in companies with both a pharmaceutical and an MDD arm.
However, with the advent of personalised medicine and the market arrival of combination products, the lines between the two industries have started to blur. This has not escaped the attention of regulators — the US Food and Drug Administration introduced draft guidance on the simultaneous review of companion diagnostics earlier this year. As such the pharmaceutical industry can no longer afford to operate in isolation from the MDD industry.
MDD are an eclectic and ubiquitous product class, characterised by a constantly evolving regulatory environment and a highly fragmented and complex reimbursement landscape, both within and across markets.
This complimentary webinar will discuss the market access challenges facing this product class in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States.
