Sara Johnson is Senior Research Director of Global Economics with IHS Global Insight. In this role, she helps clients assess worldwide business and financial opportunities and risks. Ms. Johnson co-authors the Global Executive Summary, manages the Executive Strategy Council and presents the IHS economic outlook to international conferences. She was previously North American Research Director and Chief Regional Economist with Standard & Poor’s DRI, a predecessor of IHS Global Insight.
Ms. Johnson holds a BA in economics and mathematics from Wellesley College and an MA in economics from Harvard University with concentrations in finance and macroeconomic theory.
Ms. Johnson is a director of the NABE Foundation and a former director of the National Association for Business Economics. She is a member of The Boston Economic Club and American Economic Association.

David Price, IHS CERA Director, is the head of the IHS CERA Global Steam Coal Advisory Service. He is also editor of the IHS McCloskey Steam Coal Forecaster and Coal UK. Mr. Price leads the IHS team on coal during the development of the group’s global energy scenarios.
He has been the author and lead editor of many special reports on the coal industry, covering global and regional supply and demand; fuel supply chain analysis for power generators, industry, and investors; contractual frameworks; and environmental considerations. Mr. Price, who has been with McCloskey for close to 20 years, has been the editor of Coal UK since 1992 and of Steam Coal Forecaster since 1996. McCloskey was acquired by IHS at the end of 2007. Before joining McCloskey he was manager of the international coal trade service at WEFA Ltd., where he authored major multiclient studies on the international coal markets and reestablished the consulting service with both government and industry. Previously he was the senior market analyst of the dry bulk trades at Drewry Shipping Consultants Ltd. Mr. Price has spoken at conferences and conducted investor briefings around the world.
He holds a BSc Hons from Birkbeck College, University of London.

Stoppard is a specialist in the international gas business. Responsible for the IHS CERA global and interregional analysis of liquefied natural gas, including business models and LNG trading and shipping, Stoppard led the company into LNG with the study.
Michael Stoppard, Managing Director, is a member of IHS CERA’s Energy Research Council. He is a specialist of 20 years standing in the international gas business and is responsible for the development and coordination of IHS CERA’s global and interregional coverage of gas markets and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Mr. Stoppard currently leads the IHS CERA European Policy Dialogue, a multi-stakeholder engagement looking at long-term de-carbonization of the European economy. In 2009–10 Mr. Stoppard led the development of the IHS CERA Global Energy Scenarios. He is the author of numerous IHS CERA reports, including analyses of business models, gas and power convergence in Europe, and LNG trading. He was coauthor with Daniel Yergin of “The Next Prize,” published in Foreign Affairs. In 2010 Mr Stoppard also coauthored with Daniel Yergin a Special Paper, “The Voice of Gas.” Mr. Stoppard holds an honors degree from the University of York.
