  • IHS Herold Pacesetters Energy Conference - 2012

Pacesetters Energy Conference 2012

Pacesetters Energy Conference 2012

Pacesetters Energy Conference - Register Now Join us for the 21st annual IHS Herold Pacesetters Energy Conference, the industry’s premier event bringing together hundreds of global oil and gas executives, capital providers and investors, November 13-14 at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC.

Theme: Topics:

Winning Strategies in a World of New Opportunities

Exploration and production has become a growth industry again. Better wells, enhanced recovery technologies, abundant acreage in unconventional oil plays, continued political uncertainty and a rebirth of the US as home to abundant oil and gas reserves has created the need for a shift in energy company strategies to accommodate the new opportunities presented.

This year's Pacesetters will address these opportunities, and also the substantial business challenges that come with them, from technologies and finances, to infrastructure and policy issues that must be managed to maximize success in this evolving global energy industry.

Plan to attend and interact with industry experts on topics such as:

  • Tight oil promises and challenges
  • Innovative financing strategies
  • Investor strategies
  • The impact of new and expanding policies and regulations
  • Unconventional play opportunities, recovery strategies and best practices
  • Social responsibility and the use of technology to mitigate environmental concerns
  • Technologies that enable recovery from unconventional plays and mature fields
  • Upstream spending directions
  • Driving liquids growth while rebalancing gas portfolios

Twitter Pacesetters will bring global oil and gas industry executives and financial experts together to speak on topics of interest — from E&P trends to legislative and regulatory challenges to technical advances.

IHS ForumWe are pleased to announce that Pacesetters will be held as part of the IHS Forum, a new event that connects an unmatched concentration of insight and expertise with a community of industry and government leaders and executives. As part of the IHS Forum, Pacesetters delegates will be presented with new advantages and opportunities, including expanded programming options, additional keynotes from senior executives and thought leaders, increased networking opportunities, and access to a wide range of IHS experts.
