Robert Munks is the Regional Manager for the IHS Latin America Country Analysis team and Deputy Editor of the monthly security publication Jane’s Intelligence Review. He previously worked for the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, mainly within the Latin American and Caribbean Department, and as a seconded policy advisor to the Secretary-General of the European Union. He holds BA and MA degrees from the University of Durham, England, in Modern European Languages.
Diego Moya-Ocampos is a Senior Analyst within the IHS Latin America Country Analysis team, covering the political, security, and business environment of a number of countries in Latin America, including Venezuelan, Peru and Cuba.
He previously worked as a lawyer for a private firm in Venezuela advising government agencies and private businesses on constitutional, regulatory and environmental issues, and as Chief Secretary at the Venezuelan Attorney-General’s Office.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics (LSE), a Postgraduate Degree in Administrative Law from Universidad Católica Andres Bello (UCAB) in Caracas, Venezuela, and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Universidad Santa María (USM) in Caracas, Venezuela
Dr. Laurence Allan joined IHS in April 2011. He is a senior analyst working on the political, security, and business environment in a range of Latin American and Caribbean countries.
He was previously a Research Analyst at the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office, and lectured on the politics of Latin America and the Caribbean at the University of London. He holds an MA and PhD in Latin American Politics, and has published on the region. He speaks English and Spanish.
Juliette Kerr is a Senior Research Analyst responsible for covering the Americas, both for the Country Analysis and World Markets Energy Practices. Her areas of specialism include Brazilian politics, energy policy in Latin America, NOC activity and biofuels. Prior to joining the company she worked at BBVA, a Spanish bank, and for various publishing firms. She is a graduate of Hispanic Studies from the University of Nottingham and also has an MA in European-Latin American Relations from the University of Bradford.
Antonio Timoner-Salva joined IHS Global Insight in 2011 as a Senior Analyst for the Banking Risk Service and is responsible for the Latin American region.
Prior to joining IHS Global Insight, Antonio worked as an associate analyst at Taylor-DeJongh, an investment banking firm, and as senior engineer at ACS, an infrastructure group.
Antonio holds an MA in International Economics from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS-The Johns Hopkins University) with a focus on International Political Economy and International Monetary Economics.
He also holds a Master's Degree in Economic-Financial Management from the Open University of Catalonia and an advanced degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Catalonia. Antonio is fluent in Spanish and German and has proficiency in Italian and Portuguese.
