How did construction delays in China drive the price of oil up to $150 per barrel? How do floods in Queensland force a trucking company in Idaho to consider layoffs? How could a European chemical company’s product compliance issue impact regional energy consumption? We know that the global energy system is interconnected but it is often hard to appreciate what this means in practical terms for our own companies and communities. Decision-makers need to understand the big picture in order to recognize potential risks and opportunities. Join us as we explore the vital role of energy information in ensuring sustainability for organizations from every industry sector. Hear how energy issues are closely intertwined with environmental, health and safety challenges. Learn about powerful new information management synergies and long-term investment strategies that will help your enterprise thrive in a rapidly changing world. David Hobbs, IHS CERA Chief Energy Strategist, is an expert in energy industry structure and strategies. He previously managed IHS CERA’s energy research activities.
