  • IHS CERA Climate Change and Clean Energy in Amsterdam - December 2011

IHS CERA Climate Change and Clean Energy Forum Workshop

IHS CERA Fall 2011 Member Events

IHS CERA is hosting the Climate Change and Clean Energy Forum Workshop in Amsterdam on December 5, 2011.

IHS CERA experts will lead discussions on:

  • IHS CERA’s updated scenarios to 2035 for the transport and power sectors. This includes our latest policy outlook and the possible implications for clean-energy investments and carbon emissions trends. We will focus in particular on the “double dip recession“scenario implications.
  • Climate policy after the Durban convention. We will discuss the different regions commitments and the likely implications. We will tease out implications for the European carbon market. We will specifically focus on abatement potential in the industrial emissions and discuss its practicality and cost.
  • The costs of clean generation technologies: can we afford? This section will discuss the likely implications of the economic situation on public support for renewables and other clean technologies. Will subsidies be scaled down to contain costs?

To view the entire IHS CERA Fall 2011 Season please see the Member Events schedule.
