Opening and IHS Automotive Introduction, Roman Mathyssek, Director, Head of Global Truck Research/Advisory
Roman Mathyssek, Director of Global Truck Research and Advisory for IHS Automotive, is a recognized thought leader for the auto industry and regularly speaks at conferences. Mr. Mathyssek specializes in the corporate strategies of global truck manufacturers and manages both truck reports and powertrain developments globally. He is responsible for strategic advisory projects for a global client base with a strong focus on market entry, corporate reviews and commercial due diligence, as well as being a partner for top-management. He leads an international team with people based in London, New York, Washington DC, New-Delhi, Beijing and Sao Paulo.
Prior to joining IHS Automotive in October 2004, Mr. Mathyssek gained experience in the automotive industry with various manufacturers, including Scania, Paccar Inc and Daimler AG, in the fields of corporate strategy, planning and finance.
Roman holds an MBA in Finance/Controlling and Econometrics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. He is fluent in several European languages, including English and Dutch, in addition to his native German.
Chris Fisher, Senior Commercial Vehicle Analyst for Power Systems Research, has been with the company since 2005 and is responsible for providing market intelligence for commercial vehicles and engines worldwide.
Prior to joining the Power Systems Research team, he was employed by Baldwin Filters for fifteen years and spent significant time in Finance, Sales and Marketing and most recently was an Engineering Manager for the Product Specifications group.
Mr. Fisher holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.
