  • IHS Automotive Fall Conference Series - China - Oct 2012

IHS Automotive Fall Conference Series 2012

IHS Automotive Fall Conference 2012

IHS is hosting the IHS Automotive Fall Conference Series in Shanghai, China on October 26, 2012.

Old Worlds and New Frontiers: Planning for Asymmetric Growth in the Automotive Industry

Despite a series of global shocks, last year's light vehicle market reported growth of 4.2%, and 2012 demand is on track to outpace that performance. Emerging markets, in particular, continue to shine and offer great opportunities for growth. But, consumer confidence is uneven around the globe and high levels of uncertainty remain:

  • Will the Eurozone situation further undermine Europe's performance?
  • Can BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) countries continue to sustain their high growth levels, and which countries beyond the BRICs will emerge as the new centers of growth?
  • Which powertrain solutions will emerge as the dominant technologies, and what will be the difference between those technologies in mature and emerging markets?
  • What will be the new trends in infotainment and safety systems? Do infotainment systems deserve their reputation as the biggest source of problems in new cars?

As part of our fall conference series, please join us in Shanghai, China on October 26 as we examine these issues.
