Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE)

JSAE provides more than 300 standards documents for motor vehicles built in Japan.

  • The Japan Society of Automotive Engineers (JSAE) publishes automotive standards through the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO), a division of the professional organization. These documents are used by designers and manufacturers of standards for systems, parts and performance for:

    • Passenger cars 
    • Motorcycles 
    • Trucks 
    • Tractors, semitrailers, full trailers 
    • Automobiles in general

    JSAE authors and revises automobile standards, prepares draft Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) and discusses the drawing up of international standards.

    JSAE standards serve many needs, such as improving quality, safety and liability and increasing production efficiency and compatibility.

    The collection of Japanese Society of Automotive Engineers standards contains more than 300 documents.
