Jerre Stead became Executive Chairman of IHS Inc. December 1, 2000, after retiring from Ingram Micro in May of 2000, where he served as Chairman and CEO. Jerre assumed the additional role of CEO for IHS Inc. on September 20, 2006.
He joined Ingram Micro in 1996 with a proven track record and is characterized as having great vision and global expertise. Mr. Stead took Ingram Micro public on November 1, 1996. Under his leadership Ingram Micro grew from an eight billion dollar company to a 30 billion dollar company doing business in over 120 countries. The company was number 41 in the Fortune 500 for the year 2000.
Mr. Stead began his career in 1965 at Honeywell, Inc., where he spent 21 years and held a number of executive management positions in the United States and Europe.
In 1987, he was named President and COO of Square D Company, a leading manufacturer of electrical distribution and factory automation products, based in Palatine, Illinois. He was promoted to Chairman, President and CEO in 1988 and served in that capacity through 1991.
In 1992, Mr. Stead was named Chief Executive Officer of AT&T Global Business Communications Systems. He was promoted to Executive Vice President of AT&T and Chairman and CEO of AT&T Global Information Solutions (NCR Corporation) in 1993. He was a member of AT&T Management Executive Committee. During this time Mr. Stead was also the chairman of NCR Japan, a publicly traded company.
He became chairman and CEO of the Legent Corporation January 2, 1995--leading its sale for over $2.2 billion in May of 1995 and resigned upon the successful merger in September of 1995.

Scott Key is President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, Scott served as SVP, Global Products and Services, from January 2010 until December 2010. Prior to this position, Scott served as President and COO of IHS Global Insight from October 2008 until January 2010. He also served as President and COO of Jane’s Information Group from June 2007 to October 2008, and Chairman of Lloyds Register Fairplay prior to its acquisition by IHS.
Prior to June 2007, Scott held a number of executive posts for IHS including Corporate Marketing & Strategic Planning, EMEA-APAC Sales, and responsibilities for strategic marketing and planning, marketing communications, product management and software development for the IHS energy businesses.
He has more than 20 years of diverse international and U.S. experience with responsibilities spanning executive and operational management positions, product management, software and technology development, large-scale computing, sales and marketing.
Prior to joining IHS in 2003, Scott served as a senior executive with GX Technology, focusing on business development, marketing and strategic initiatives and as executive vice president/COO of Operations, Business and Technology Development for NuTec Energy Services Inc., both of Houston. He served as deepwater development manager for Vastar Resources from 1998 to 2000, successfully initiating Vastar's deepwater reservoir appraisal and development efforts, and was employed by Phillips Petroleum from 1987 to 1998, where he held a variety of positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
A frequent speaker and author, Scott has written on numerous subjects covering a range of management, technology and development topics. Scott also has achieved certification in numerous technical and professional courses. He is fluent in both English and Norwegian, and is partially fluent in Danish and Swedish.
A graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both physics and mathematics in June 1985, with a focus on numerical methods and computing. He earned his master's degree in geophysics from the University of Wyoming at Laramie in 1987, receiving Phi Kappa Phi honors.

Steve Green joined the legal department of IHS parent corporation in 1981 and became chief legal officer for IHS in 1996. Steve is responsible for IHS legal guidance and counsel including mergers and acquisitions as well as legal and regulatory compliance. In addition, Steve provides legal counsel for IHS regarding protection of IHS intellectual property and contractual relationships arising from the company’s global business.
Prior to joining IHS, Steve worked in various capacities in the New York legal community, including a law clerkship for a New York State Supreme Court Judge. Prior to the clerkship, Steve was an associate in the Corporate department of Kelley, Drye & Warren, a large New York City law firm whose corporate practice included acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, financings and other corporate legal matters.
Steve holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University and a law degree from Columbia Law School

Todd Hyatt was named Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer in October 2011 to lead the company’s worldwide IT operations as it continues to build global scale, infrastructure, critical internal business applications, products and services, information delivery systems and tools to support IHS customers. He served as Senior Vice President-Vanguard since 2010, leading the company's business transformation efforts, including its SAP implementation. Mr. Hyatt previously served as Senior Vice President-Financial Planning & Analysis from 2007-2010. He joined IHS in 2005 as Vice President leading the Finance organization for the company’s Engineering segment.
Prior to joining IHS, Mr. Hyatt served as Vice President for Lone Tree Capital Management, a private equity firm. During his career, he also has worked for U S WEST / MediaOne where he was an Executive Director in the Multimedia Ventures organization and for AT&T. He started his career in public accounting, working at Arthur Young and Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Hyatt has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Wyoming and a master’s degree in Management from Purdue University.
Arshad Matin, Executive Vice President

Arshad Matin was named executive vice president of IHS Information & Insight Operations and Research & Analysis in January 2011. In this new role, Matin is responsible for leading the company's global information, insight and research teams to create even more market-leading products and services for IHS global customers.
Matin joined IHS through the acquisition of Seismic Micro-Technology (SMT) in August 2011 where he was president, chief executive officer and board member. Before joining SMT, Matin was general manager of an enterprise security business at Symantec Corporation, which he joined in January 2006 through the company's acquisition of BindView Corporation. At BindView, Matin was president and chief operating officer. Prior to BindView, Matin was a partner at the Houston office of McKinsey & Company where he served clients in both high tech and energy industries. He started his career as software developer for Oregon-based Mentor Graphics Corporation.
Matin earned his MBA from the Wharton School, MS in computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and BE in electrical engineering from Regional Engineering College in India.

Heather Matzke-Hamlin has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer since February 2005. Prior to joining IHS, Ms. Matzke-Hamlin was Director of Internal Audit at Storage Technology Corporation from February 1999 to February 2005. Prior to StorageTek, she spent more than nine years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Price Waterhouse) in audit services.
Ms. Matzke-Hamlin holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado.

Joanna Moon was named Senior Vice President-Vanguard in October 2011. Ms. Moon previously served as Vice President-Business Transformation for Vanguard, the company’s critical initiative to review, standardize, consolidate, streamline and fully integrate all business processes and systems related to its lead-to-order and order-to-cash functions across the global IHS organization.
Prior to her role with Vanguard, Ms. Moon served as Chief Information Officer of Jane’s Information Group before it was acquired by IHS in June 2007. Before joining Jane’s in March 1997, Ms. Moon held a variety of marketing, business development and technology roles for U.K.-based information retrieval and application software companies.
Ms. Moon holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Studies from the University of Brighton (U.K.) and is a member of the British Computer Society.

Jane Okun Bomba was named to the newly created position of SVP and Chief Customer Process Officer in July 2007. In this role, she will be responsible for the implementation of a global ERP system which will replace all current billing and financial systems. She will also continue leading the company's investor relations and corporate communications activities worldwide. She is a seasoned corporate finance professional with 19 years of experience and expertise in investor relations, integrated communications, financial planning, financial analysis, corporate planning and accounting. Jane has held the top investor relations position at several firms including a number of Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to joining IHS in 2004, Jane was a partner with Genesis, Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in the areas of strategic positioning, investor relations, and integrated strategic communications. Previous to her tenure with Genesis, Jane headed investor relations at Velocom, Inc., MediaOne Group, and Northwest Airlines. Jane also held several management positions in corporate finance at both Northwest Airlines and American Airlines. She started her professional career as a Certified Public Accountant with Price Waterhouse in Detroit.
A native of New York City, Jane holds both a BGS and an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She did a portion of her graduate studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. Jane serves on the boards of both the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the National Investor Relations Institute – Rocky Mountain Chapter. She was past President of the Denver Business Series and the founder of the University Of Michigan Business School Alumni Club Of Denver.

Jeff Sisson is responsible for leading global human resources for the company, including organizational development, retention and human resources strategy development.
A 20-year human resources veteran, Jeff has extensive experience in a broad cross-section of leading global industries, including energy services, manufacturing and advanced technologies, where he developed best practices for global HR teams that translated into higher employee engagement, productivity and corporate reputation. Prior to joining IHS Inc., he held executive HR leadership positions at Eagle-Picher Industries, Snap-on Incorporated and Whirlpool. Jeff received his MLIR and his B.A. from Michigan State University.

Brian Sweeney was named Senior Vice President-Global Sales in October 2011, with full responsibility for IHS global sales strategy, operations and execution for all products and services, managing field sales, inside sales and channel sales across the full breadth of IHS customer relationships.
Prior to joining IHS, Mr. Sweeney served as Vice President-America Software & Solutions for Hewlett-Packard since 2009. From 2005 to 2009 he served as Senior Vice President-US Commercial Federal & Legal Markets for LexisNexis and from 2003 to 2005 he served as Group Vice President, North American Strategic Accounts for Oracle. Mr. Sweeney has also held sales leadership positions with Siebel Systems and IBM.
Mr. Sweeney holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Eastern Illinois University.

Richard G. Walker joined IHS as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development in December 2006. He was then appointed Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Development and Strategy in January 2008, and was named Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Marketing and Corporate Development in August 2008. Prior to joining IHS, Rich was Chief Operating Officer at Autobytel Inc., where he had also served as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy since January 2003.
Previously, Mr. Walker served as Vice President for LoneTree Capital Management from August 2000 to December 2002. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Corporate Development for MediaOne from April 1997 to July 2000. Prior to joining MediaOne, Rich had been with U S WEST since 1990, where he was Executive Director of Corporate Development and also held various leadership positions in investor relations, business development and strategic marketing. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia.
Mr. Walker graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Colorado and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Executive Program at the University of Denver.

Yergin is a highly respected authority on energy, international politics, and economics. Yergin is a Pulitzer Prize winner and recipient of the United States Energy Award for “lifelong achievements in energy and the promotion of international understanding.” He is both a world-recognized author and a business leader, as well as executive vice president of IHS.
Yergin received the Pulitzer Prize for his work The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power, which became a number one best seller and was made into an eight-hour PBS/BBC series seen by 20 million people in the United States. The book has been translated into 17 languages and has just been released in a new updated edition.
Of Yergin’s subsequent book, Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy, the Wall Street Journal said, “No one could ask for a better account of the world’s political and economic destiny since World War II.” It has been translated into 13 languages. Yergin led the team that turned it into a six-hour PBS/BBC documentary—the major PBS television series on globalization. The series received three Emmy nominations, a CINE Golden Eagle award, and the New York Festival’s Gold WorldMedal for best documentary.
Yergin is writing a new book on the challenges of energy and geopolitics.
Yergin plays a leadership role in the global energy industry. He chaired the U.S. Department of Energy’s Task Force on Strategic Energy Research and Development. He is a member of the Board of the United States Energy Association, and a member of the US National Petroleum Council. He recently served as Vice Chair of the new National Petroleum Council study, Facing the Hard Truths about Energy. He also has become the only foreign member of the Russian Academy of Oil and Gas. He is one of the “Wise Men” of the International Gas Union.
He is CNBC’s Global Energy Expert.
Yergin was awarded the Medal of the President of the Republic of Italy for combining “an understanding of the dynamics of the market with a broad view of the forces of geopolitics as he seeks to point the way to the positive outcomes for the world community.”
Yergin has been named one of the 500 most influential people in the United States in the field of foreign policy by the World Affairs Councils of America. He is a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Center for Globalization at Yale University, a Trustee of the Brookings Institution, on the Board of the New America Foundation, a Director of the US-Russia Business Council, and on the Advisory Board of Energy Initiative at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Advisory Board of the Peterson Institute for International Economics. He is also a Member of the Singapore International Advisory Panel on Energy.
Yergin holds a BA from Yale University and a PhD from Cambridge University, where he was a Marshall Scholar.
