Mineral Land compiles over 50 years of data accumulation on Freehold, Disposed and Open Crown, First Nations, and Dominion Lands, making it the most trusted resource in the Canadian oil and gas industry. The database features two components:

• Land Data
• Land Text Data

Geology and Geophysics provides original source accuracy and comprehensive data on all geological facets of oil and gas activity, including over 2.2 million well log images and core analysis data for over 665,000 oil and natural gas wells in Canada. Daily updates for over 400,000 pressure tests in Alberta, 23,000 well files in BC and 90,000 well files in Saskatchewan appear in the database. The database, which contains 100% available seismic location data, features five components:

Engineering includes a broad range of datasets designed to help you gather the critical information you need to maximize your development opportunities. • Gas Pressure Test

Midstream Data, offered through our partnership with Canada's premier pipeline data source, Geomatics Data Management, delivers the most precise and comprehensive pipeline, plant and facility data, spatially corrected and adjusted to surveyed right of ways and imagery. The database features two components:

• Gas Plant and Facility
• GDM Oil & Gas Pipeline Network

Surface and Near-Surface Components provides the most comprehensive information in the areas of culture, grid, transportation, environment, topography and more. Partnerships with TELUS®, AltaLIS® and Valtus Imagery enhance this offering, providing you with additional insights into your areas of interest. The database features three components:

AccuLogs Newest Release Highlights

AccuLogs latest release offers enhanced annotations and toggling between short and long formation names. The annotations are now aligned with Microsoft standard workflows and changes how annotations are used within AccuLogs. Fill and color have been aligned which includes transparency. Annotations can also be rotated, grouped, ordered front and back, and arrows are now available. Users also now have the ability within Tops Control, Tops Picking, Datum Manager, in tooltips and on the cross section itself, to choose whether to label their formations with short or long names.

New AccuMap DataCards: Completions & Directional Surveys

The newest AccuMap DataCards to switch to the new framework are the Completions (Cores/Perfs/Casings/Logs) and Directional Surveys cards. The new framework provides vastly increased performance times as well as better information presentation. Features include enhanced table functionality for filtering, grouping and sorting content, customizable print options for templates, support lists, text and picture watermarks, and workspace personalization options such as the ability to open multiple data cards at one time and to resize and move the data card windows in AccuMap as needed.

Further DataCard Enhancements

Enhancements to the new DataCard now gives you the ability to select what columns are displayed in the Well card Directional Survey and Product tabs, the Batter card Summary tab, and the Gas Processing Plant card Receipts/Dispositions tab. Users can also now send table information in the DataCard to Microsoft Excel by right clicking on any of the tables. This enhancement works in conjunction with the select columns mentioned above and the year range so only the desired columns and years are sent to the spreadsheet. When working with multiple items or lists in the Data Navigator within the new DataCard, there are navigation buttons giving users the ability to move to the next or previous items. And finally, when in List Editor, there is a new keyboard shortcut (CTRL+W) that will launch a new DataCard for the currently selected item.

Amended UWI User Tops Migration

With the first launch of each new version, AccuMap will check your tops database to identify any wells that have been amended and provide you the option to migrate your user tops over to the new UWI. This helps mitigate any loss of data as wells get amended, while only requiring a single button click to execute.

Launch Single Well Viewer from Well Card

AccuMap now provides the ability to launch the AccuLogs Single Well Viewer from the new Well Data Card. The Single Well Viewer can be kept in sync with the Data Card as well, allowing you to quickly view the logs on a selected well (and traverse the wells within a well list) without having to re-launch the Single Well Viewer each time.

Customizable Tab Order on the New Data Card

The tabs on the new Data Card for wells, facilities and pipelines can now be reordered to your preference, and additionally, the order will be retained once it has been set. This furthers gives you the ability to customize your workflow and how the information from AccuMap is relayed to you in ways that were not possible previously.

Copy to Clipboard from the New Data Card

The tables from the Production Tab of the Well Card, the Battery Production section on the Summary tab and the Receipts/Disposition tab of the Facility Card now have the ability to send their contents to the Windows Clipboard from the right-click menu allowing for quick and easy pasting into another application without having to reformat columns or rows.

Import Formation Tops Attributes

The Tops Import Wizard from the AccuMap Tops Manager now provides the option to import only the attributes associated with your tops without having to import a TVD for that formation top. By allowing easy editing of tops attributes like net pay or net sand, or to import in your own data into the customizable tops attribute columns through the use of a simple spreadsheet, you have even more ways to expand your data and leverage the tools that AccuMap and AccuLogs provide.

Tops and Export Managers

IHS continues development of AccuMap with new functionality that let's users launch the Tops Manager and Export Manager from the new Well Data Card. These dialogues launch using the well currently dislpayed on the card, letting users choose to keep the dialogues open and send new wells as required or choose to keep the dialogues in sync with their Well Data Cards.

IHS AccuMap Launches Tear-Away Tabs

In implementing the Microsoft .NET3.5 framework, we’ve been able to design a more user friendly data card that includes functionality taken directly from customer feedback. AccuMap now launches the new Tear-Away tab where users can physically undock the tabs from the card itself. As you tear-away any tab from the data card and main window, the tab will float across your monitors. As you click through the tabs to view information you can toggle between lists, and the information between the tabs will update, regardless if they are docked or undocked. You can also use the tear-away tab concept to open multiple data cards to compare production charts or other information, and as you close your AccuMap session, the data card will remember the tab size and placement for your next session. Alternatively, you can call all of the tabs home with the simple click of a button.

IHS Incident Manager

IHS and trusted partner Geomatics Data Management Inc. (GDM) have come together to release the new IHS AccuMap® module Incident Manager. The module, paired with the newly developed Incident Manager database, gives customers access to the most comprehensive incident-related information for wells, pipelines and facilities in Western Canada. With the new module, you can send well, pipeline, facility and open layer lists from AccuMap to Incident Manager to review your lists’ incident summary, specific incident detail and historical information dating back to 1975.

New List Editor in AccuMap

Customers have had a long-standing request to improve the list editing functionality within AccuMap and asked for further development and new functionality be applied to the Well List Editor. As of the July 2011 release, AccuMap boasts a new list editor that gives customers access to edit not only their Well lists, but Pipeline and Facilities lists as well. With the new List Editor, customers can take advantage of the drag and drop functionality to move wells, pipes and facilities between lists, or easily merge them if required. Further functionality includes a context-dependent toolbar showing information based on the category (well/pipe/facility) selected.

AccuMap/PETRA Integrated Workflow Complete

As part of our Customer Investment plan for 2011, our customers asked for a similar seamless integrated workflow between AccuMap (v.21.06) and IHS PETRA®(v 3.6.1).  The product management and development teams for both of those applications came together to replicate this ease of use and as of June 2011, have refined and simplified the integration between the two products. The process is simple. Begin by creating well lists and maps in AccuMap using IHS quality information, then launch PETRA directly from AccuMap’s detail map to import the information into a new or existing PETRA project to view and further analyze the information.

AccuMap Expands Information for its Currency Update

As part of our Customer Investment initiative, we have committed to improved information currency on your desktop.  In previous AccuMap releases, information was updated on the third week of every month. Now, each release, including the recently implemented second delivery, contains the most updated information available. We are happy to be able to increase your data currency on your desktop as you requested, and believe you will be pleased with our efforts.

Quick Search

AccuMap has expanded its functionality with the new quick search dialogue box, letting users search the AccuMap database for wells, pipelines and facilities. Users can search by UWI, pipeline license or facility government code and then add that entity to the appropriate data card. The quick search capability gives users the flexibility to quickly gain access to the information they trust outside of the traditional map workflow.

Gas Pressure Data Card

The Gas Pressure Data card matches the look and feel of the updated Pipeline and Facility Data Cards introduced in 2010. The new data cards are based on the Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework and provide vastly increased performance times as well as better information presentation. Features include enhanced table functionality for filtering, grouping and sorting content, customizable print options for templates, support lists, text and picture watermarks, and workspace personalization options such as the ability to open multiple data cards at one time and to resize and move the data card windows in AccuMap as needed.

Plot by Latitude and Longitude

Within AccuMap, all wells now plot by the latitude and longitude. Historically, AccuMap has plotted wells based on the metes and bounds. This change, along with the improvements to the grid’s precision, allows users to experience accurate coordinates when using the grid in AccuMap and when exporting it to other applications.

Data Currency

New Data Card

With its new data cards, AccuMap gives you more functionality in viewing your information. Features include enhanced table functionality for filtering, grouping and sorting content, customizable printing templates, and  the ability to personalize your workspace. The new data card model allows you to open multiple data cards at one time. In addition these windows can be resized and moved within AccuMap to create a workspace to suit your individual workflow needs. Updates to our Enhanced Grid

US Directional Surveys

IHS AccuMap is happy to announce that subscribers now have access to US Directional Surveys in Montana, Wyoming, and North Dakota. Historically, this information was not included in AccuMap as there was little to display, but as the data has grown more complete and mature, and customer requests have come in, the AccuMap team has added US Directional surveys to the latest release. The information found in the US Directional Surveys database is free of charge to US Base data subscribers.
