IHS Retail is the hardcopy store that provides standards from more than 370 key standards producers including BSI, ISO, ASTM, SAE, ASME, API, IEC, ISA, IEEE, ANSI and many more.

Chose from a variety of formats:

• Hardcopy: A printed copy of your selected document.
• PDF: A PDF file delivered to your desktop via email.
• CD-ROM / DVD: Many of the most popular individual standards and standards sets IHS has to offer are available on this medium, and most can be loaded to your internal corporate network for a nominal additional charge.
• RAP (Remote Access Printing): Our patented delivery method that delivers hardcopy documents to you immediately without shipping costs. We send you a special PDF file which you print at your location. You print however many copies as you have ordered. Every copy is officially licensed and sanctioned by the publisher.

Using the industry's most comprehensive source of current and historical industry, government and military standards, our highly skilled staff of research analysts will search our databases to provide the topic or document information you need, even if what is being searched for is not in circulation.

EMEA Retail - Delivery Information

How the order reaches us
When you order from IHS, you can be assured of our personal service. Your web order will be processed by one of our dedicated customer service representatives. You can therefore be assured that if you put any comments on your order then they will be seen and taken note of.

Your web order is sent by encrypted email to the customer services team who will then enter your order onto our system.

Availability
Our careful stock holding means that the majority of our listed products are available from stock in small quantities. Ask us about availability for multiple copies.

If your order is for products that are not presently in stock, then you will receive an email advising you of this and giving you an expected time scale. As most of our products are sourced from the USA, this will usually be 2-3 weeks and depends on our past experience with that item.

Dispatch
We are usually able to process orders within 1 working day of you placing your order. If you are paying by credit card, your card will be charged at the point of sale.

Most shipments are dispatched by a traceable method of shipping for added security.

We make multiple dispatches at no extra cost as and when items become available, so that you don’t have to wait for all your items to come into stock before receiving a shipment.

We do not presently send you a dispatch confirmation, therefore if you have not received your order or email advising of expected delivery within the time scale listed below, then please let us know so that we can investigate. When can I expect my goods?
The expected delivery times from dispatch:

• UK Standard – Within 2-3 working days
• UK Express – Next working day
• Western Europe – Within 3-5 working days
• USA / Japan – Within 5-7 working days
• Rest of World – Within 10-14 working days

As a customer focussed organisation, we are able to accommodate specific needs with regards to shippers just let us know and we will help if we can.

Receipts/Invoices
Your goods will be shipped with a packing note only. This will show which items are contained and which items are still on order from us.

Your receipt/invoice is sent under separate cover once the shipment has been.

Shipments travelling outside the UK will include a commercial invoice. This is for customs purposes only. Please refer to the receipt/invoice for any charging/pricing information.

Customs
IHS will ship orders to most countries and as such will ensure that packages with a non UK delivery address are shipped with all required information.

IHS do not include import taxes or duty in our prices as we cannot predict what charge if any will be made in the recipient’s country. The carrier will usually contact you if any clearing charges need to be paid and these must be paid by you.

If you refuse to pay customs charges, the package will either be destroyed or returned to us depending on the value. We will only refund any monies if the item is returned intact to us and any credit will deduct charges paid for us to release the item from customs. We cannot refund for items destroyed by customs through non-payment of charges.

EMEA Retail - Returns Policy

1. Written authorisation for return of publications must be obtained from IHS. This will usually be in email form, send your request to emeastore@ihs.com
    
2. No returns will be accepted after 60 days from the invoice date except where the item is found to be defective.
    
3. Any goods damaged in transit from us may be returned for refund or replacement within 30 days of the invoice date.
    
4. Returns must be shipped prepaid. We recommend that you use a traceable method for valuable items. We will refund a reasonable amount of return postage if the item is returned to us through our error.
    
5. A handling charge of 20% of invoice value will be applied to all credits for return of unwanted goods unless defective or damaged in shipment.
    
6. Return of photocopied documents cannot be accepted unless defective.
    
7. Return of firm order items cannot be accepted. You will be advised if an item is firm order at the time of ordering.
    
8. A copy of the dispatch note should accompany all returns.
    
9. The cancellation of any Retail subscriptions with IHS will need to made in writing prior to the renewal date.  We will contact you 2 months before the renewal date with not reminding you of this policy.

EMEA Retail - Terms & Conditions

All orders are subject to the following conditions.

1. Payment strictly within 30 Days for trade accounts. Credit card accounts will be charged upon receipt of order. Other account types may be available on request.
    
2. VAT is chargeable where applicable
    
3. All orders are subject to a minimum shipping charge
    
4. Please refer to our Return policy found by clicking Returns.
    
5. IHS reserves the right to charge interest on late payment at 3% above the current Natwest base lending rate and to recover from the Customer or Subscriber all costs incurred in securing payment of monies due.
    
6. Claims for non-receipt of goods must be made in writing or by email within 10 working days of the invoice date.
    
7. Copyright within goods belongs to the original supplier of the goods and no goods may be copied or reproduced without the copyright owner’s permission.
    
8. Demonstration copies supplied on the condition that, unless they are returned within 15 days of receipt by the Customer, they will be invoiced for their full value.
    
9. Quotations/pro-forma invoices are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated on the document.
    
10. We list availability information for products sold by us on the website, including on each product information page. Beyond what we say on that page or otherwise on the website, we cannot be more specific about availability. Please note that dispatch estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed dispatch times and should not be relied upon as such. As we process your order, we will inform you by e-mail if any products you order turn out to be unavailable.
     
11. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the products in our catalogue are mis-priced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our dispatch procedures. If a product's correct price is lower than our stated price, we charge the lower amount and send you the product. If a product's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatch or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
     
12. We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Conditions of Use & Sale at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Conditions of Conditions of Use & Sale in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
