An effective operational risk management (ORM) program ensures visibility and awareness of materially impactful risks so you have the information you need to make better business decisions and drive continuous improvement throughout your operations.
Industry leaders who are ahead of the curve in managing operational risks are taking the opportunity to prevent unexpected losses and enable peak performance. They are strengthening their shareholder value while providing better protection to their employees, assets and the environment.
Risk management in 2012 is about more than regulatory compliance. It is being adopted as a new strategic business advantage by companies around the world. To excel in a competitive market you must take risks but you must understand those risks and how they impact your company as well as having a mechanism to control and govern your risk processes. Effective ORM ensures you can do all of these things – and moves you closer to consistently achieving your business objectives.
Join IHS, TOTAL and Shell in an open and interactive discussion to learn more about how operational risk management can help you on your Journey to Operational Excellence.
Welcome and Overview of the Journey to Operational Excellence Forum
IHS will outline the phases of the journey to achieve operational excellence – a journey that is currently being undertaken by many of the world’s largest companies – and describes the activities required and the benefits that can be realized with each phase. We’ll explain the system and organizational steps necessary to measure your performance in order to achieve your operational goals.
TOTAL will share the journey it has taken in reaching its operational risk goals through standardizing their risk management business processes, incident/investigation, findings and management system assessments.
