  • Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) publishes standards for equipment and materials used in the fabrication of semiconductor devices such as integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and thyristors. This global industry association serves the advanced manufacturing supply chain and acts as a clearinghouse for electronic standards. The documents within SEMI give guidance on the chemical and material processes involved in the manufacture of semiconductor chips and other related devices.

    SEMI standards are accepted and used worldwide, with each tool in every semiconductor fabricator conforming to SEMI Standards.
