ECA publishes standards on electronic components and assemblies and commercial and industrial electronic equipment and supplies.

  • The Electronic Components, Assemblies & Materials Association (ECA) creates standards for the electronics industry. ECA standards apply to the manufacture of passive and active electronic components, component arrays and assemblies and commercial and industrial electronic equipment and supplies. ECA administers U.S. Technical Advisory Groups and Secretariats for the International Electrotechnical Commission to develop international standards for passive components.

    Committees of the ECA assess quality and global compatibility issues on such categories as:

    • Passive components 
    • Resistive devices 
    • Switches 
    • Switches for appliances 
    • Miniature fuses 
    • Electronic tubes 
    • Environmental conditions, classifications and methods of test
