L. 101-336, 42 U.S.C. 12131-12134 and 12181-12189 in 1991, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of disability by public entities and in places of public accommodation and commercial facilities. These accessibility standards have been developed to assure compliance with the ADA requirements.
