  • Global Macro Webcast - September 27, 2012

The World Economic Outlook — A Synchronized Slowdown or Something Worse?

IHS will host the Global Macro Webcast on September 27, 2012.

Every region of the world is in an economic slowdown and the Eurozone is in a recession. Moreover, many risks loom ahead, including the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis, the US fiscal cliff, a China hard landing, and conflict in the Persian Gulf. During this Webcast, we will provide our insights on whether or not the world economy will be able to muddle through. We will also address the following questions:

  • What is the danger of the US recovery stalling out?
  • How much worse will things get in Europe before they get better?
  • Is the Chinese government acting aggressively enough to prevent a further weakening of growth?
  • Can the big emerging markets do much to offset the vulnerability of their exports to the United States and European Union?

Please join Nariman Behravesh on 27 September as he discusses the outlook for key regions of the global economy and assesses some of these daunting risks. Additional IHS Experts will be available to answer questions at the end of the Webcast.
