IEEE Compiles List of Smart Grid Standards

This initial list includes more than 20 IEEE standards named in the National Institute of Standards Technology (NIST) Framework and Roadmap for Smart Grid Interoperability Standards, Release 1.0.
The NIST report describes a reference model for the smart grid, identifies nearly 80 existing standards that can be used to support smart grid development and identifies high priority gaps, for which new or revised standards are needed.
The IEEE smart grid standards list also includes 93 standards that are currently available and in development.
The IEEE-approved standards include:
